Mo into third all time on the LFC goal scorer list.

Does anyone think Mo has a chance at topping Rush's goal total for LFC if he re-signs? Would need around 25 per year x 4 more years.

Seems impossible but I'm not sure I'd bet against at this point.

Nah, no chance. 2nd, absolutely. 1st is too far

Theoretically yes, but in practice I can't see it given his age already.

At the rate we're getting pens, yes.....but the sticking point would be him getting those 4 years to begin with.

I mean don't get me wrong, outside the box he's doesn't get up to much but if someone like Vardy can continue being effective in the box in front of goal, then why not?

Never say never with Mo.

Hard to see him putting up these numbers again but if he did and signed a three year deal he’d go very close.

I agree, the bigger problem would be him staying another 4 years. 25 goals across all competitions - you'd probably just about expect him to do that on average, even if he drops off in the last couple of years.

Because they're different players who get their goals in different ways. Vardy's a "fox in the box" whereas His Egyptian Majesty has always done his best work coming into the area from further out. I'm not saying it's impossible but I do think it's very, VERY unlikely.

Second best season in terms of goals for Liverpool now with a minimum of 11 games and a maximum of 16 if we get to the CL final.

The greatest ever season.

They're different players sure and play in different positions I get those things......but both remain the center source of goals in their sides and both have shown they have that natural goal scoring instinct. 32 is old.....ish, but it's still very much on the right side of 30.

A 32 year old Salah is scoring more goals than a 27 year old Salah was......doesn't really make much sense but it's happening. If he can get 4 years and remain fit and healthy.....I'd have to be very courageous to bet against him.

The right side of 30 is 29 and below. 31 and over is the wrong side. 32 is not the right side of 30.

Salah will get 40 goals this season and could break his own record of 44 but that’s unlikely at this stage.

Amazing season for someone chasing a new contract.

If only he’d signed for us instead of Chelsea when we originally went in for him…
