The Egyptian King

I think I said earlier that it was on pace to top Salah's best season with us, and you scoffed at it ... Finally, you're coming around.
I can’t recall tbh but his been immense all season as I knew he would be.

I’m so glad he wasn’t sold for 150m to the Saudi’s. No20 is worth more and I firmly believe he’s got more seasons at the top in him.

I won’t ever the 150m we may have got but will defo remember just one of these days us winning a title in front of all our fans.

After this season he will deservedly be mentioned in the same breadth as Kenny, Gerrard, Souey as our greatest ever players.
I mean......pretty sure he was already being mentioned alongside those names well before this season, one underpar season doesn't change that, but if you feel the need to reiterate......then ok.

One of the best signings in the clubs history, and objectively, probably the best in my life time
All the ridiculous circumstances around the Hyypia deal and following career, mean he's always my sentimental number one, but Salahs numbers, the amount of records he breaks and constant availability mean he has takes the crown.

I don’t think most fans did Dreamie.
When it’s been previously discussed most have said Kenny and Souey won multiple titles over and over and Stevie single-handedly prevented us slipping into obscurity.

Salah always needed more leagues or CL to be seen in the same light.

That was the one of the most complete mo Salah performance I've ever seen. He always is willing to dot every i and cross every t in these big games against teams he really respects. Disciplined defensively, more sharp as an outlet.

But in this game he really carried every single bit of our attacking threat, with all the best ideas coming from everyone buzzing around him, and just pulling the strings in all different ways. They had fast wingers and some crosses. We had an artist. Their artist is done, he's gone blind. He kicked it into row z. Salahs pass for lucho from inside was delicious. Diaz had an absolutely horrendous game, by the way.

He also got the normal abnormal numbers. He did everything.

There's being seen as in the top echelon (which you'd have to be a fool to deny he's not one of those) and then there's the discussion around being the best player (or even just striker) in our history, which for me he's not but I accept it's difficult to judge across different eras and there's a debate/discussion around those rankings.

We hardly ever discuss how massive his positive influence is off the pitch, how he's always fit and available, his enormous contributions to charities, his leadership and mentorship, the fact that he's still the first at training every day, and more.

On the field, his numbers are ludicrous.

We're so lucky to have him.

He's surely the favourite to win the Ballon' Dor this season, no ?

I can't think of anyone else.

Like which journalist is going to vote Mbappe, esp. when most of them were guilty of putting that embarassing pic of him at Anfield on the front page of every sports pages ?

Massive lols

I regret nothing!
Slot deserves huge praise for the way he's set up the team and helped Salah reach the numbers.

Salah on the otherhand deserves everything.
Looks like a joy to be around the training ground, Called Sboz a kid in the interview like a big brother ruffling his kid bros hair while ribbing him.
Smiling ear to ear walking around barefoot at the coffee bar.

Works his ass off on the pitch, and I'm sure on the training ground, setting the example.

All this while the contract chat continues.

He's posted ridiculous numbers in terms of assists even though he's had mostly Nunez/Diaz to aim for.

Depends very much on the Champions League I imagine. If we somehow lose in the next round and they end up winning, it won't matter what Salah did in PL, such is the bias.
