Liverpool are reportedly readying a surprise bid for Real Madrid playmaker Kaka according to
Sports Direct News.
Brendan Rodgers is expected to make an offer for the 31 year old Brazilian who is little more than a bit-part
player at the Bernabeu and could well be tempted by a move to the Premier League before the transfer window slams shut.
Kaka was already playing a greatly limited role at Real Madrid and the summer signing of Isco will further hamper his chances of making an impact, even under his former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti. Last term the former World Footballer of the Year was handed just 12 La Liga starts and hasn’t figured at all in the club’s opening
fixturesof 2013/14, signalling his career at the club being all but over.
Brendan Rodgers has adopted a youthful transfer policy but may feel that the chance to add balance with the purchase of an experienced campaigner such as Kaka is too good an opportunity to pass up.
Kaka has already publicly stated his intention to leave Real Madrid, announcing;
“now is the right moment for me and for the
club for me to leave amicably”.
With Coutinho and Lucas Leiva at the club Rodgers may feel his pursuit of another Brazilian could well be a successful one.
Prior to his move to Real Madrid Kaka had become a world beater at the San Siro, winning Serie A,
Champions League and Super Cup titles at the Italian club but his move to the Spanish capital has been something of a failure.
Injuries and average form have led Kaka’s career to stall and a move to Anfield could be a chance to help re-ignite the Real Madrid attacking midfielder’s fortunes.
