I think that's partly due to the fixture dates. He's been ever present in the league till date, missed 1 CL game (of out 8), 2 (out of 2) FA Cup matches and 2 (out of 6) League Cup matches.

Cahill, unlike Terry, has had quite a few blips this year and was dropped because of it for a few games (replaced by Zouma)

Because once the two in front of the defence are breached it's toss up as to who gets blamed. Who are you going to drop? I have watched chavs matches more than I ought to (have because of family ties). It's a defensive team. Full stop. Terry is a good player. Best?
