Milner was brilliant, Lennon is fast and crap and thats pretty much it.
As for rewarding players who got us here like Defoe, Imo he was rewarded by playing the game no room for sentiment here we go with the best team we can play and let them go out and play.

Upson is so bad it's amazing he's playing at this level. Constantly made bad choices which the Geermans would have exposed. Luckily Cappello will bring Carra back in.

Upson did have a couple of moments, but they were from crap passes froim terry on a nasty pitch. He grew into the game, as his confidence grew.

He wasn't rapid trust me, Kirm is actually quite slow but never stops running and helps the defense a lot, a bit like Kuyt - just worse and without the goals

Lennon does not deserve to recall. Only change I would make is to drop Lampard and play Cole on the left instead of Stevie.
Stevie was magnificent in that game, Lampard just goes into his shell when Stevie is next to him as he is not used to playing second fiddle. I expect Fabio to keep the same team

Don't get the praise for Upson from some. I thought he was consistently poor until he partially redeemed himself with one good challenge towards the end, when Slovenia were tiring anyway. Carra has to come back in, and I'd sooner play Dawson than Upson any day.
