Team for Saturday

This game won't be won in CM. Good movement from players drifting in from the wings will create the bilk of the chances here. Play Gerrard on the right. They haven't got an experienced LM so he can push on, concentrating on being attacking and creative, whilst also pushing Baines back (as he is one of the Bitters most creative and important attacking players). Spearing and Jonjo/Hendo in the middle, Downers on the left.
Carrol up top with Luis behind him.
Glenjo Agger Skrtel and Flanno at the back. They won't have major danger down the left for flanno to deal with.
And Henchoz in goal anyone??

The thought of Downing playing ahead of Maxi makes me physically sick.

I'd also be amazed if Flanagan starts.

flanno will be no where near the starting line up.

Agreed. I think he'll be a good player in the years to come but his confidence looks shot to pieces.

Not G.Johnson's biggest fan but i'm glad he's back. Got a good 50 mins or so under his belt last night so you'd expect him to start Saturday.

Glenjo will start guaranteed, but as they may pose little threat down their left so I expect GJ to be at left back. Unless KD decides Agger at LB and GJ on the right, with Carra and Skittles at CB.
I can't see Enrique starting, he has looked hopelessly out of sorts for months now.

Most of their attacks come through Baines down the left so i don't get where you're coming from there.

Well if you watch Everton, ever, Baines normally has Pienaar in front if him. Which he wont have. It will be Drenthe (selfish, hit and miss), Gaey (only played about 2 games and is 9 so should struggle to influence big games like this) or Anichebe (enough said). So he won't be his usual effective self. Plus if you actually read my earlier post, if he plays Gerrard there then Baines will be pushed back and when he does get forwards he will have to go past Gerrard.

Enrique, Kuyt, Gerrard, Downing, Carragher and Suarez were all rested against Blackburn.
I'm pretty sure everyone of them bar Carragher will start on Saturday.
If Carra for some reason makes it into the starting XI I'll be fucking livid.

I've watched loads of them thanks very much and whether Pienaar's there or not, Baines goes forward at every opportunity. He's one of the most attacking and productive left back's in the league and one of Everton's main threats. His deliver from open play and set pieces is excellent.

Gueye actually looks like a decent prospect, man of the match the other night for them vs Sunderland. Still relieved that Pienaar's cup tied though, quality little player.
