So, on the back of tonight's performances, what would you like to see on Saturday? I'd quite like to see this:

Jones
Johnson Coates Skrtle Enrique
Agger
Henderson Gerrard Bellamy/Maxi
Carrol Suarez

I put Agger in front of the back four just because he is very composed with the ball and is able to break forward better than a lot of our attacking players, so a little more freedom for him could be good
 
I don't want Enrique at LB for now - he's just not there for whatever reason. Agger can do the job.

I wanted to go with Shelvey but Gerrard/Suarez/Maxi is a better option, and with their movement - they'll cause Everton a lot of headaches.

Yeah, Enrique's really went off the boil last few months. It's worrying.

Plus, Agger's more than capable of playing left back. Hes so comfortable on the ball.

Not exactly what I'd pick but I based it on what I think Kenny'll go for. I'm assuming Johnson didn't pick up another injury.

I'd also like to see Coates and Maxi starting but it ain't gonna happen.
 
it's entirely possible that henderson and jonjo miss out and kenny goes with spearing and gerrard in the middle of the park.

Not confident that Carroll is the right player for the Everton defence. We should really try to attack through middle with some Gerrard, Suarez and Maxi interplay. Oh and Shelvey of course.
At the same time it's kinda harsh to keep Carroll out after his recent performance.

Revised line up:

talking about superstitions, I have a work collegue who always comes over to my desk before a liverpool game to take the piss 'who have liverpool got in the CL tonight?' and other chestnuts. well anyway, everytime he comes over we win and no word of a lie he didn't come over once during our losing streak, except one time, you guessed it, everton. for the record he came over to take the piss tonight.

I'm hoping he comes over to my desk on friday.

Hmm. Last time we beat Everton at Wembley I was shagging a 15 year old hotty from Birkdale. Maybe I should try that again now. Do you think consent is an important consideration for the luck gods?
 
A couple of the teams above don't have Spearing in them. Nice idea, but not in one million years will that happen.

Anyone who's watched Everton at least once in the last 2 months would have noticed the form of Pienaar and to a lesser extent Osman, and their ability to get in between the lines and dictate. Spearing, whilst no Lucas, is the only player we've got capable of disrupting that shit.

He'll play.

I hope that carroll and maxi have played their way into the semi final. it's about time we rewarded good performances.

Yep, that said, Pienaar and Baines played together at Anfield and we kept them out the game (that was with Kelly at right back though).
