Take Ince or the sell-on fee?

And there are equal doubts about Ince taking the step up.

For a decent fee I'd sign him, but with the latest comments from Ince Sr I'd rather get the sell on cash.

Exactly. He was offered a new deal and he turned it down. So hardly our fault. Not fussed either way about ince. He's about the same level as downing, so not exactly a player to get excited about.
That my friend depends on what it was exactly that we offered him, I expect we thought we could keep him on the cheap. Whatever way you look at it they fucked it up when they let him go, he was clearly a talented player and they should have signed him up even if they did not fancy keeping him, just so he held value instead of walking away for nothing, it was not very bright.
As about the same level as downing, I think you need to sit down and have a little think about that given respective ages, value, wages potential experience etc.

regards

It would be if we had a choice.

It was either sell him or lose him on a free. He didn't seem to make a decent effort in the reserves so we got rid. No biggy.

See reply above, and I think to say he didn't make an effort in the reserves is a little debatable

"Paul Ince faces the wrath of his former manager who once called him a Big Time Charlie"

Really? Could the press put Fergie on any higher a pillar of footballing morals. The same guy who started the trend of lavishing millions on young players.

I was under the impression that Ince hates Ferguson, that 'Big Time Charlie' thing followed him around his whole career after he had been a good servant to Utd and helped Ferguson to build his first title winning team there

That bit was particularly embarrassing, not in the least because why would Ferguson give a fuck what Ince says in some paper.

As for Tom Ince coming back, do we really want to have to suffer Paul Ince who obviously comes as part of the package?

I hope Blackpool get that £25m, our cut would buy us a CB or DM. Plus we would avoid listening to Ince Sr harping on like a mother-in-law about how his little angel could have gotten anyone he wanted and how we will never be good enough for him.

Yeah, it started with Ince saying in the dressing room that he was the "Guv'nor", and Fergie apparently said to one of his coaches that he was going to show Ince who the Guv really was.

I'm guessing Fergie said this while opening a bottle of Hawaiian tropic anal lube and putting on his strap on

And how exactly have you come to that conclusion?

Just my personal opinion from watching him whenever I could. He seems a decent player, but definitely not outstanding. If we can get him cheap then fair enough but decent squad player. But not a player that will take us to the next level.

Not sure what we offered him Vlad but, "The last offer would have made him the highest-earning player beneath the first team but to be fair to him I don’t think money was the issue."

Hopefully Blackpool will sell for as high a fee as possible and we'll get to boost our coffers.

Tottenham are ready to splash out £6.5 million for Blackpool's young attacker Thomas Ince - as they start planning for next season.

Spurs supremo Daniel Levy wants to agree a fee with the Seasiders as soon as possible and tie up a move for the England under-21 wide man who can play down either wing.

Ince junior - picked in the Championship team of the year - has been a revelation this season and would fit snugly into Andre Villas-Boas's squad because of his versatility.

Liverpool tried to take Ince back to Anfield in the last window but could not agree a price, but Spurs hope they can come up with an offer that hard-bargaining Blackpool chief Karl Oyston cannot refuse.

Ince - whose dad is boss Paul Ince - is also due a slice of the profit after joining Blackpool rather than sit it out as a Liverpool reserve when he was a kid.

Spurs have relied heavily on Aaron Lennon to provide their wing skills this season and he have been lacking in that department when he missed out with injury.

Ince is at an age and stage where he will not demand to be a starter but could expect to play enough games at top-flight level to keep his career going on the upward path.

Levy has always found cash for rising stars and Ince fits that bill, with Tottenham backing out of the chase for Wilfried Zaha in January when Manchester United raised the stakes.

Paul Ince played for Inter in the 1990s and now his son, Blackpool winger Thomas, could follow in his footsteps.

The Ince name is fondly recalled at San Siro from his time here in 1995-97 and there may well be a new Nerazzurri jersey bearing it.

According to the Sunday People, Inter are among the clubs chasing 21-year-old Ince for a summer transfer, battling with Liverpool and Tottenham.

The price-tag for the England Under-21 international is thought to be around £7m.
