Suso

He was a sure bet to be signed by Milan in in this window until they opted for Cerci from Atletico.

He'll be off at the end of the season to Milan on a free.

hows his french? Origi swap...

Seriously though I really wanted Suso to make it. I read somewhere that the club do rate him highly but they have doubts over his physical attributes - weak and not too quick. Might be bullshit though (see Joe Allen).

I'd like Rodgers to keep the same tactical formation he was having success with replacing the injured Lallana with Suso. I don't want to give up on him and I hope if he starts playing he can be persuaded to sign a new contract.

Lallana works hard, does a lot of running and does all the tricks. Does Suso press as much as Lallana, he's certainly got the talent?

Well, he might not be as good defensively as Lallana (in truth, not many AMs are), but he has lots of energy and like Lallana, he has the ability to make things happen. If he plays, he will get assists and maybe score a couple of goals too.

From Di Marzio's site today:
As we have been reporting for the past few months, Suso will join Milan in 2015. The question is when? Today the rossoneri reached an agreement in principle with the Spanish player, his contract with Liverpool expires next June so he can join Milan on a free transfer. Today Suso's agent were in Milano to complete the deal on a 4 year contract. While Suso will join Milan inJune, he could arrive sooner should Rodgers decide to let him go sooner.

I don't know why FSG are so reluctant to offer good youth players contracts... at the very least we'd sell the likes of Suso on for a profit

Flanagan's deal runs out in June as well, and I'm pretty sure Coutinho only has 18 months left

I would be shocked if this was FSG's call. Our transfers and contracts, especially in these minor cases, are likely exclusively handled by the club's people who have the blessing of FSG to do as they will.

I can see consulting FSG in exceptional circumstances, but I doubt any of the actual posturing and negotiating is directly handled by FSG people.

The strategy is surely decided by them though? So if they say make not letting good players leave on a free a top priority they probably will

SUSO IS ROSSONERI BOUND
Meanwhile, Sky sources have also able to confirm earlier reports claiming that Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso will be leaving Anfield to join Serie A heavyweights AC Milan.
And we now understand that move will take place in July, rather than in this month's transfer window.
