Suso vs Europe

There's rumours on RAWK that he only has a year left in his contract and is unwilling to sign unless we offer him first team football.

As good a prospect as he might be I feel uncomfortable with youth players demanding first team time.
His on pitch performances should be what demands inclusion at a higher level and I suppose to be fair to Suso they have been getting close to that level

I agree, but he is massively talented. I'd hate us to lose him because we think he's not good enough. If he doesn't impress then fine, but it's foolish not to try.

He's shown more potential, more skill, better range of passing, more awareness of teammates than most of our midfield, i'd be wanting first-team football after watching us last season.

Is he better than Henderson?
You know my answer.

I have the same feeling I had during the 2010 World Cup when Joe Hart had a brilliant season with Birmingham, everybody was saying he's a good 'keeper but was still considered a rookie to be England's #1. Robert Green and David James went on to have a disastrous tournament and Hart is now the undisputed #1. All Suso needs is to be tested regularly against better opponents and have the opportunity to shine and play with more talented players. I haven't yet seen Henderson, Spearing or even Lucas attempt those kind of passes he was doing at ease in the Italy U19 game and i've seen no one in our squad apart from Suarez have the audacity to try what he did yesterday.

I'd be very surprised if Suso doesn't get a crack at the first team this season, at least in cups. Mr R will have a good look at him preseason.

He's quality, he's always looked a cut above, but I do feel him and Sterling especially need to get a chance this season in some form, or we'll lose them.

Is it just me or does he seem like Iniesta and Alonso rolled into one? Based on that video of course.

I kept thinking of Fabregas, I think it's just his look and his good centre of gravity, he's more of a long ball specialist than Cesc though.

I thought Henderson was captain of England and performed quite well?

One thing he does lack, and I noticed it mainly during last season, is finishing. He gets into dangerous positions with ease but he does have trouble scoring.
It's unfair of me to compare him with Sterling, mostly because he's a year younger than Suso but for me it's pretty evident that Suso is the better player. Hence why I couldn't understand why Kenny persisted in picking Raheem ahead of him.

It might be crazy but I currently rank Suso ahead of Shelvey, Spearing and Henderson.
He's that good imo.
