I'm not sure age should be a big factor here, I reckon he should have another 4-5 years left at the top level. He doesn't turn 28 until January anyways.

I think he would be an ideal midfield compliment to Can personally.
E !!

According to German media and the Express, Dahoud has rejected a contract extension at BMG. Might open up a move to another club. Rather get him.
Witsel for 30 mill and 100k a week, no thanks

I like how we can use Watford turning down millions and Palace offering millions to excuse any inflated fees we pay this year.[emoji41]

Vincent Janssen has turned down PSG because he wants to go to Spurs. AZ have already turned down a Spurs bid.

Pep want Suarez and Kroos according to The Mirror. £63m for Kroos and £85m for Suarez.

The paper says that Suarez would be open to join them if he can convince his family to move back to England.

The problem is there is no risk to these cunts for doing/saying shit like that.
It should be in every single players contract that if they make any noise about changing clubs they immediately have their contract halved.

BREAKING: @LCFC sign French midfielder Nampalys Mendy from Nice on four-year contract.

Not resting on their laurels.

Echo
Nampalys Mendy (Nice): Linked with a move to Leicester, holding midfielder Mendy was one of the key reasons behind Nice’s fourth-place finish in Ligue 1 last season. Has been likened to N’Golo Kante, and has one year remaining on his contract.

Reports on Sunday claim that Liverpool are ready to go toe-to-toe with Merseyside neighbours Everton in a bid to sign Axel Witsel.

The Zenit St Petersburg midfielder was part of the Belgium squad beaten by Wales in the Euro 2016 quarter-final on Friday. And following his side's exit from the competition, the Sunday Mirror are now reporting that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made the 27-year-old a top midfield target, having 'missed out' on Sevilla's Polish enforcer Grzegorz Krychowiak, who is joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Everton are also understood to be interested in Witsel, with the player's father confirming talks over his future were ongoing. The former Standard Liege man cost 40m Euros when moving to Zenit from Benfica in 2012, so don't expect him to come cheap – if at all.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail claims Liverpool have 'named their price' for one of the men who helped dump Witsel out of the Euros – they want £14m for Joe Allen.
Allen cost the Reds £15m when arriving in 2012, but has entered the final year of his contract and is still not considered a starter.

That Mirror story about Suarez and Kroos sounds credible........

If Real sign Pogba then I can't see Kroos staying. I doubt that Suarez will accept a move to City and if he is available for £85m then we should sign him. £85m is cheap for the best player on the planet.

I know that Barcelona signed a new mega bid sponsorship deal but they will at the same time get much less money from the TV deal. No more individual TV deal in Spain.

They also made Neymar the best paid player on the planet. Messi will probably be offered an even better one.

Maybe they will be forced to sell Suarez.

It's less than 3 Troy Deeneys

I hope you're wrong as I don't believe we'll get him if they do ... I'd rather he's there than at Chelsea/Arsenal/City

Man United are selling Juan Mata to Everton for €25m [Infosport+]

Mata defended Rafa when he had Mourinho as manager. You don't do that, you simply don't. If you do that then Mourinho will freeze you out and sell you as soon as possible.

or Mata just wasn't the kind of player he wanted for the formation he plays Right?

With Chelsea signing Batshuayi and Man Utd signing Ibrahimovic, looks like Arsenal's chances of getting Morata is increasingly higher.

FC Porto are willing to sell Ruben Neves. Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of the player. (@_GoncaloLopes)

I'd like to see the proof of Suarez actually saying that, especially after he said he could never play for another English club.

Klopp has been linked with a move for Croatia's Euro 2016 star Pjaca, who currently plays at Dinamo Zagreb. Gazzetta dello Sport claimed the 21-year-old was on the radar at Anfield, with other clubs, such as AC Milan, Inter Milan and Fiorentina, interested too. But if Liverpool want him, consider this a boost: Dinamo Zagreb sporting director Marko Vukelic has now suggested a move to England may be on the cards. "His future looks to be in the Premier Legaue and clubs over there are in pole-position to sign him," he reportedly said.

And finally, reports in Turkey suggest Lucas Leiva wants to leave Anfield - for champions Besiktas. According to Fanatik, Besiktas have made an enquiry to Liverpool for the Brazilian and initial talks with his agent have supposedly proved fruitful.

Piotr Zielinski

On Saturday came the news that the Reds had seen an offer of 14m Euros (£11.75m) rejected by Udinese, the Polish international's club. A similar offer – albeit one including a player, Juan Camilo Zuniga – from Napoli was accepted by the Serie A outfit. The understanding has been that Zielinski favours a move to Liverpool – and in all fairness, he's not been shy about courting the Reds' interest – and that Napoli had been aware of this.

But Italian publication La Repubblica says that the situation could soon find itself resolved, with Napoli offering increased wages in a bid to tempt the midfielder to the San Paolo, and the player now receptive to the move.

Why on earth would they accept the bid from Napoli, but not our bid, if they were the same value?
