Witsel is a very good player. I know Everton have been linked with him.

Mandanda have appz agreed to join Crystal Palace, and rejected a move to Everton....

Wasn't it Witsel who stamped on someones head? Or am I getting him mixed up with someone else?

Edit - should have used google. It was a stamp.. But it was on a leg which caused a double fracture. Nasty

Ragnar Sigurðsson
Liverpool, having just lost a veteran cult hero centre half in Kolo Toure, are now being linked to a potential replacement in the form of Iceland’s 30-year-old Ragnar Sigurðsson, who was most recently seen defeating England in the Round of 16 at Euro 2016.
According to the rumour mongers, though, the Reds are joining a long line of suitors, including Tottenham and Leicester City in England and Schalke and Wolfsburg in Germany. For what it’s worth, Sigurðsson is rumoured to prefer a Premier League move and would cost around £4M.

The Reykjavic native currently plies his trade with Krasnodar, who finished fourth last season in the Russian Premier League. Sigurðsson made 35 appearances for them—24 of them in the league—last year, chipping in with three goals and a pair of assists in all competitions.
Sigurðsson came up through the ranks of Fylkir in Iceland before moving to IFK Götenburg of the Swedish league and then FC København in Denmark. He moved to Krasnodar for around €4M in the summer of 2014, and the veteran defender currently has two years left on his contract.
Despite the rumours linking him with Liverpool, the reality is he seems unlikely to sign to become fourth choice centre half at Liverpool. If he really is interested in moving to the Premier League, then, of the linked clubs, Leicester would seem the most sensible destination for Sigurðsson.
Wolfsburg, who tried to sign Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel before he chose to go to Fenerbahce instead, would also seem a reasonable landing spot, and a club at which Sigurðsson might well be able to secure a starting role for at least a season or two.

I think Thierry Henry comparisons are valid, up to a point. Martial is also a tricky and pacy winger with unusually cool and clinical finishing ability, which makes you think that with years and maturity he can develop into a devastating centre-forward, mirroring Henry's development under Wenger. But I have trouble seeing this happening under Mourinho – as far I remember he likes to play with either more orthodox wingers (Robben, Duff, Gudjonssen) or hard-working strikers (Eto'o, Pandev) moved to the wing. Can't see Martial playing centrally with him and he might not be hard-working enough to play on the wing for Mourinho's liking.
Hazard.

Witzel would be a fucking boss signing. The link is via the echo but they admit it is tenuous;

Liverpool are today linked with a big money move for Belgium stalwart Axel Witsel - but it's once again reports in Italy who link the Reds with a £30m bid.
Reds fans better have a pinch of salt at the ready - because transfer rumour-mongers Tuttomercatoweb list Liverpool as a potential suitor for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Witsel.

That would have me tumescing and no mistake.
Yep. I mentioned Witsel would be a great buy in one of the Euro threads. Just about perfect for us.

Good player, but Utd eh... To much money..

Dortmund bought Mkhitaryan for €27,5m at the age of 24. They will sell him aged 27 with one year left on his contract for €42,5m. #BVB

Now that's a CM I'd love to have in this team. Always liked him. He is arguably even better than Kante.

I'm not so keen on Witsel – he strikes me as a player who doesn't try to raise his game when his team is losing, never saw any passion from him.

Witsel is the Cavani of midfielders for me. I've rarely seen him have a great game.

First Deeney and now Ighalo. Watford have a strike pair worth over £60 million!

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/07/01/watford-turn-down-38m-offer-from-shanghai-sipg-for-ighalo
[article]Watford have turned down a £38m offer for their striker Odion Ighalo from the free-spending Shanghai SIPG. The Chinese club broke their transfer record this week when they signed Hulk from Zenit St Petersburg for £46.1m but they are unlikely to add Ighalo to their squad after Watford’s refusal to even consider the offer.

Ighalo scored 17 goals in 42 appearances last season and has been linked with a move away from the club but the owner, Giampaolo Pozzo, is not considering selling the striker.

Watford have already rejected a bid for another forward, Troy Deeney, from Leicester City with Pozzo adamant he wants to hold on to both players. Ighalo has four years left on his contract.

Shanghai, who are managed by the former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, have the former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan in their squad as well as the newly arrived Hulk. Shanghai are fourth in the Chinese Super League after 15 games, 12 points behind the leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.

Watford, who have a new manager this season in Walter Mazzarri, after Quique Sanchez Flores left the club, kick off the Premier League season against Southampton on 13 August.[/article]

Newcastle paying 10 mill £ for Dwight Gayle and 12 mill £ for Matt Ritchie. The transfer fees paid in the league are insane.
