He is our best player. A legend in the making, BUT is he the cause of us not scoring as many as we should? Playing him in the centre seems to be undermining our team and probably placing too much pressure on him.

He loves to drift all over the place, most of his damage occurs on the edge or outside the 18 yard box, but as he is the central striker, there is no one in the middle for him to feed or create more space for him. Admittedly we don't have another striker at the moment, but irrespective of that I think he should play on the right or the left of the front , with a license to roam when we have the ball. When we don't he should come back to his position. From the wide areas he could create and score goals and we would always have a presence in the box.

In the current circumstances I think playing him out wide and having yesil or morgan in the middle would mean we score more goals than the current formation. Our play may not be as silky as BR wants, but we would score more.

Play him somewhere between midfield and the opposition's nets. Around about there should be good.

With a decent finisher in the team, he should be just behind him, or either side, but as things stand now, he has to stay up front, with Ass and Sterling either side. To drop either of those two and replace them with Morgan would be to replace a decent option that would feed Luis, with a stronger supply to an unproven finisher. Don't think we'd score more, and the pressure could ruin a younger player.

When the alternatives are Yesil and Morgan this really isn't much of a question.

We need another couple strikers in the team and then maybe we can come back to this.

About there.

of course, but based on now, i still think him in right/l;eft with morgan and yesil in middle maybe more effective.

Morgan and Yesil are completely unproven at this level. And, until what Keni says happens, this thread is all a bit pointless

We don't need proven players. Downing is proven, he's fucking shit.

We need good ones.

We have played 8 games.

Suarez has scored 5 goals.

I would keep him where he is at now, up front, think he could get close to 20 league goals this season.

Then BR needs to have word a quiet word with him.

I suspect he may not as with genius like him, you have to take the rough with smooth.

He was usually on the left for Ajax . Was bought from Groningen as the replacement for Ryan Babel . We need better scouts .

We know Suarez could be equally effective on either flank. Ultimately though he needs to be part of a fluid attacking three because he's never going to stay out on the wing for the entire 90mins and we wouldn't want him to either... so it doesn't really matter which flank he starts on.

I'm sorry but I don't really think this discussion is relevant, he'll be our most effective player wherever he plays. The most important issue right now is getting another striker in. I'm afraid we're wearing him out atm.

He needs a Huntelaar to play off . And he was deffo off the left . As was Ryan Babel - never a striker .
