Sturridge - out until September

Fucking hell.
Really makes signing a top class striker the number one priority.
We'll end up with Ings though.

Yep, out for the first 2 months of next season.

BAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I can't wait until ppl start calling Sturridge a "useless cunt" and hoping he fucks off in no time.

I call it "Kewell's Law"

I'm utterly not fucked about Sturridge. I've written him off, he's dead to me. He's incapable of being a premier league striker, or a top level athlete. At least he's got this fat contract we just gave him to live off for the rest of his days. He should be able to afford to build his own personal hospital in his home, because he needs one.

Yeah I've pretty much written him off too. If he ever comes back as a top class option it will just be a nice surprise.

We need to invest heavily in the striking department this summer. Let's hope Origi will have a breakout season.

Very sad - he's approaching the Anderton, Kewell, Redknapp category. Had/has the potential to be the best English striker of his generation.

He is a useless cunt if he spends more time injured than on the pitch

Bring in vietto, or break the bank for someone

Don't worry - Danny Ings will make us all forget about Sturridge.

Ings and Origi will do eventually, as they'll both be good strikers... Just what we do until that time I'm worried about

Sadly, probably a blessing. Our idiotic transfer team will hopefully know they can't rely on him for next season and invest in a no. 1 striker. Like they failed to do last year when any sane person already knew not to rely on the Studge. Idiots.

I'm writing off Studge too. But no hard feelings or calling him a cunt. I feel bad for him. Hopefully he surprises us all and comes back at some point.

What I don't understand is that yesterday he posted a video on Instagram of him already doing some light work on an exercise bike. Must have been a very minor hip operation. If he's already on a bike just days after the operation is it really going to take him four months to recover fully?

I agree, if he had a strong finish to the season we'd be listening to bullshit about how with a full preseason behind him hed be like a new signing. Well that idea can fuck right off now, hes crocked like he has been for the last 12 months. We need to sign a player to improve on him, not a player to warm the bench for him because if Sturridge is our main striker we will most likely never get Champions League football again

I'm glad this has happened in an odd way. This way, we can focus on getting new strikers in. Not just one. It stops the owners and managers from thinking we can play without strikers. As a sidebar, we've 100 goals to replace next year

Really, really bad news and I feel for Sturridge and Rodgers here.

Realistically the club has to spend 80-90% of its transfer budget on strikers, and put faith that the defence and midfielder will improve upon this year

They're learning to factor in re-injury time with him.

Lets hope this hip surgery can help him stay injury free in the long run.

We really need a top class striker this summer.
