Strength and Weakness.

Perhaps, but we'll see.

I'm sure there'll be one or two threads soon enough about how much better Benitez was in comparison once Hodgson starts losing.

Let's see who posts in that extolling Rafa, shall we?

I defend Rafa if someone says a blatent lie, just like I defend Houllier the same way.

But no one on here can be hoping Roy fails, just to say 'I told you so', because the Club always comes first.

I'll bet Roy wins a cup before he shifts out to let Mourinho take over when our new management comes with all the dosh.

I don't even care if its the Milk Cup or whatever its called now (old League cup).

4 years since we last lifted a trophy, we should never have sold Cisse, his winners dance always got me laughing!

so you're convinced he'll start losing soon enough as well then?

Of course there wasn't anything wrong with Jexy's content; but his intent was more of an issue.

I think his second post was spot on tho.

He was doing it in alot of his posts a few weeks back, consistently planting sly digs in there with regards to Rafa (in this case - I hope Roy is a lucky manager). It just goes back to that, he was doing repeatedly, he just can't help himself, I think it was Oncy or one of the other mods who was the other who picked up on it a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe you had to see it in the context of his other posts.

We were all worried a couple of weeks ago, epecially when it was Roy who got the job (instead of Kenny).

We I was for sure, because I couldn't understand why he was chosen. I couldn't see why a man who had won the Prem was overlooked for a man who couldn't win away games.

He is certainly the lowest level/standing manager we have had in most peoples living memory, except of course for the bootroom boys that came.

Lets hope he at least matches our last Roy and gets a cup win, and a couple of finals.

But no 'spice boys' or Ice cream man suits this time please 🙂

Yep. That's very true.

I don't think he's going to do very well this year, no.

But I just hope he'll out perform his predecessor.

It's actually infuriating since I think Rafa is one of the best around, so that makes the failure much worse I suppose.

It's like when people say Babel is more talented than N'gog..well, of course he is, he also cost 8 times more than N'gog..so you'd hope he'd done a lot MORE by now.

If that makes sense.
