Yeah sorry for partially derailing a stoke topic with stories of my adulterous Tranmere visits.

Today... is going to be a massive letdown and we're going to draw 1-1.

Oh yeah, Lee Hughes came on for Notts County for the second half and he got 45 mins of the most consistent, relentless, sustained vitriol I've ever heard a crowd give to one human being. It was a remarkable character assassination from 2000 drunk Wirral types. Which went from the unimaginatively damning 'Murderer, murderer' to 'how wide is your arse' to 'you should have got life' to 'how do you sleep' etc etc. I don't know how he carries on if that's what happens every week.

Maybe he deserves a little bit of credit. Seems he opted for playing every week instead of sitting around and collecting his wages.
Credit to him, but I'm referring to his style of play. He's slow and his positioning is poor which leads to him coming late into challenges.
I worry for our midfielders. Adam isn't a dirty player he's just an accident waiting to happen.

I worry about defensive set pieces. Huth, Shawcross, Crouch, Walters and N'Zonzi. We're gonna struggle.

Stoke are the absolute epitome of a team that we struggle against. They are going to come and park the bus and try and hit us on the counter. Which they probably will considering our defensive form. We need a big game from certain players. Sterling in particular I feel.

Apparently they haven't scored at Anfield since football started

I. E. In the premier league

And not won since '59. Hate when those stats are mentioned, rarley works out in a good way.

Confirmed #LFC team v Stoke: Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Allen, Gerrard, Sahin, Suso, Sterling, Suarez.

Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam start for Stoke against their former club, Liverpool. The Potters are unchanged. Another former Reds player, Michael Owen, is not even on the bench. Word is he has a "minor injury".

I was made up to see Stewart the brave missing. Then I noticed Cole. That took away a nice feeling.

Splinters of the arse is a minor injury

We need to make some use of Cole since we are paying him 100K per week. He still has a chance to contribute.

Pleased with the team and the bench. I think Henderson should play at some point.

He will come on for four minutes then go off with a pulled thigh. Or for a scouse pie.
