Like a number of other players he'd look immeasurably better with a few top class players alongside him. What would have been nice if that some of our players, having seen Suarez and Gerrard and Carragher leave, had stepped up a level and started to fill that gap. Instead they've just shrunk back inside themselves and hidden, by and large.
