So Wigan...

OK, if we discount all the pissed people who sing their lungs out at games we'd probably be left with about twelve songsters from the SOS who don't drink because alcohol is a tool of the capitalists to oppress the masses.

Haha.

I dunno, obviously its not a scouse thing then, only said that as the 3 people on here who didnt like the songs were scousers.... Anyway. CBA, im hungover.

Champion seems like a nasty piece of work. He's always making snide comments. I think he believes it's 'wit'.

There's about 3,500 scousers waking up this morning, initially chipper, before the icy shard of a memory from the night before spoils the bright mood; the colour drains from their faces as the previous night's shame slowly comes into focus. How will they live with the stigma of singing the Rafa and we hate Chelsea songs, something caused by alcohol and the influence of OOTs! O ruinous, demon drink!

I dont mind Waddle, thinks hes quite fair. Seems people love to feel like the world is against us....
Mate that's not it at all. I was out yesterday so I recorded the game. Watched it after I knew the result later on. When that happens you tend to focus a lot on what the pundits say. He did sprinkle a few compliments in but overall he was more going on about Wigan being poor than Liverpool being good. It got quite funny in the end when we were 4 up. They both clearly dislike Liverpool. That's not me being paranoid that's me listening to what they say.

Carry on, this is amusing.

I've heard that any lads identified as singing those songs will be having their membership of Scouser Tommy rescinded. And fucking rightly so.

I actually agree with Jon, singing about other teams when you're not playing them is well jarg. Something the Mancs or Bitters would do. As for Chris Waddle and Jon Champion, they're a pair of complete cock ends

They also sang about Pee Wee Garcia!

Nice to see you back mate. I agree with this, but it is clearly exceptional circumstances. It isn't something our fans normally do, and it is obviously based on supporting a former manager who is being abused by chavvy cunts. the fans were in great voice, they went through a massive song-list, and it was bit of craic to do with contemporary (extremely exceptional) circumstances. If the fans were doing this week-in, week-out, I'd agree. But it is linked with contemporary events.

It is, I actually laughed out loud when they sang it.

If Rafa hadnt done that post interview and the Chelsea fans hadnt shown their disgust, they wouldnt have sung it yesterday, imho.

Oh I get that Doc, I do. More importantly though, Champion and Mullet are still massive jeb ends yeah ?

Fuck the Rafa song.
I really enjoyed hearing Poor Scouser Tommy and the Garcia song.
Hadn't heard them sung with such aplomb in about 5 years.
Magic.

Yeah, tis so. As I said in the match thread yesterday I actually taught my kids what a mullet was yesterday and used a google image of Waddle to explain. I'm all about educating my kids on sad shit that goes on in the world. They got it straight away what a wretched thing a mullet hairdo is, and giggled at Waddle, then Michael Bolton and Lamall.

They fucking are - As many have said I was loving it when Suarez didn't turn up for the MoM interview. Bloody right an all!

NOW YOURE INVOLVED

I love it when that grumpy guy smiles.

Great pic.

I never said it was some terrible performance. As LTW said, you can not play well and still win by a few goals. Utd have been doing it for years.

Thanks for making me explain the obvious though.

Keni, are you and "myturn" the same person - just building each others likes for the hell of it?

Oh, and I'm delighted I was wrong about the game. Hope the team prove me massively wrong against Spurs too. We need to make a statement and stop this one step forward, two steps back crap. If we overhaul the blueshite then the season will be a little better.
