Win loose or draw, fsg have shown they have no balls.

With the new tv contract, they can sit on their Investment for years to come.

Yah, unfortunately I tend to believe that ... but my heart wants to believe something magical can happen ... It's stupid - but that's part of having fun as a fan ... I'd rather stay optimistic - as at least it makes the football matches fun (I enjoyed last night - thought we played some really good stuff, and should have won 4/5-2) ... If he's let go, no issues ... He's failed unfortunately but until then, still gonna hope he does something magical ...

Do you think he looks like he will do something magical? Because I don't, there's no signs at all. He looks lost to me Wizzy, all out of ideas with a unbelievably porous defence. 4 wins out of the last 17 games mate, 6 losses and 7 draws. That's a 23% win rate. If you factor in lucky wins against Stoke and Bournemouth the picture would be drastically worse. For me, it's not the fact we're losing and drawing games it's the fact we're playing shite and there is no visible sign of recovery and hasn't been for a very sustained period. Even during that little run we went on last season the football was hardly sparkling and we rode our luck once or twice which of course you'd take as a supporter but it's been too poor now for too long.

Then coming out after the Villa win, a game we could easily have drawn or lost due that shithouse defence of ours, and act like some cocky gobshite who was within his rights to have a pop at the "hysteria". You'd just beaten Aston fucking Villa at home Brendan, not Real Madrid at the Bernebau. It's excuse after excuse with him - well, for me, he's clean out of excuses now. It's time for him to move on - my only worry is will FSG fuck up the next appointment ?

I've avoided agreeing with the Rodgers Out discussions for the last couple of years to be honest as I didn't feel they were warranted but for me it changed at the Villa semi-final. It was one of the worst managerial performances I can remember - he looked lost, clueless. Nothing has improved since then. It's not got worse (as if it could) but we're wallowing in mediocrity in the vain hope something might change. It won't - when you're on the wrong course you're on the wrong course and it's unlikely there'll be a fortunate wind to blow you back on.

As I said mate ... my heart hopes for something ... my brain is very much in your camp.

My feelings in a nutshell. I think BR should go but I'm not rabidly anti-BR and I live in this delusional world in which I still think there's a possibility we win at Everton and Spurs; we are 2 points off top having played Everton, Spurs, United, Arsenal and Stoke away already and BR proves us all wrong.

It wouldn't be just the one game though. It would be after three and a bit seasons which - barring the time when we had one of the world's leading talents playing for us - have seen us ultimately flounder. There always comes a point at which a decision has to be taken, and I don't agree that it would be unreasonable of the owners to take that decision if we turn in the same kind of bloodless display against the blueslime as we did against the Mancs.

Yeah, I understand that JJ. I just don't get the notion of make or break games, surely it shouldn't hinge on that. We haven't been good enough, a big defeat or crucial defeat might be straw that breaks the camels back, but surely a decision should be made regardless?

Right, but once a decision is made, how long should you stick by it before reassessing? I think this is what Wilberg was trying to get across lately. Even if you think he should go, we may have to accept that the owners made a decision not long ago. We're not playing well but we are also still very much within sight of our season goals. Surely it makes sense for them to give Rodgers at least a few more months?

Yeah, I'm not saying one way is right or wrong, but this is more or less my point. A decision should be made based on what we believe is right for the club. You can't decide definitively based on one game, just because it's one of the biggest games in your calendar. If you don't sack him after a humiliating defeat at home against West Ham, then you've obviously seen reason to let whatever objective you've set run it's course.

Not necessarily. It could just as well have been - in fact I reckon it's far more likely to have been - a question of timing, not wanting to act so soon after keeping Rodgers on in the summer, and that (with reservations) I could understand. For me the fact that that game was then followed by an equally hopeless capitulation against the Mancs and other similar displays destroys the idea that giving him yet more time has anything to commend it.

Yup, and rightly or wrongly, the evidence suggests that this decision was recently taken. So let's ban Arn, and institute short bans for RedNinja and peter after any loss or draw.

I'm not saying any of it's reasonable. I just don't buy that we're going into games with a make or break mentality. If he's going, the decision should already have been made, the only feasible reason for keeping him is that we're waiting for someone else to be available, it shouldn't hinge on one good or bad result.

I sadly have to agree.
I've been on the fence for large parts of last season, after being a fan of BR before that.
The way we ended last season and the way we started this season - and I'm referring to the football we're playing no less than the results - have made me realize that there will be no happy end to this BR - LFC pairing.

Mark: indeed it shouldn't, but I don't think that would be an apt description of deciding to let him go after the latest in a whole string of weak performances which have given zero sign of potential improvement.

The last thing we need is to be firing the manager after a derby.

Think of all the shite you'll have to put up with from the blueslime.

I'm in a different hemisphere - I'll be able to avoid it mostly....

It's that I'm worried about. With Sturridge and Coutinho in attack there's ALWAYS a chance of him "proving us wrong". Until the next crisis. And the next, and the one after that. And then Coutinho gets sold and Studge gets injured and we spend £46m on Rudy Gestede.

I want him gone because he's a catastrophe for this club. Whether we're 12th or 3rd at the end of October really has fuck all to do with it. At this stage I and many others are just looking for that one big heave to finally push the great fraud out the door.

At least when a top class manager comes in, we could thank the gobshites. (No, I don't want us to get beat).

We're gonna lose the Derby anyway... It's fucking obvious

Everton are more of a team than our shambolic collection of players who hardly know eachother.

This. Man for man we probably have more talent in the squad, but that's bugger all use if you don't make it count.

That's a good point.

Do it after the next game instead.

It would be preferable if it were to be done.

Let's call Everton his final cigarette - then after the next one... Chik-chik.. boooooom

Yep. I was fuming after the semi final. Outwitted by Tim fucking Sherwood. Huge, obvious gaps down our right. Our players looked completely lost and unsure of their positions. It was beyond pathetic. A performance summed up by Lovren's 45 yard effort at the end.

People go on about our great run last year, but we were proper good in two matches. Home to City and Swansea. We got completely out of jail in a couple of the games and were mostly shit all season, as we are this year. We're in our fourth year under Rodgers and we're no better than we were when we came in. Yes, we had one great season, but it's counts for little because (a) we didn't win the league and (b) we're shite right now.

Anyone who wants us to lose against these bitter small club gobshites clearly doesn't have to listen to them crowing for months afterwards like they've won their first trophy in two decades.

Fuck. That.

Fucking out of towners
