Right so i've had me abacus out today and counted up our points tally against the other 6 "big" teams since Rodgers has been in charge . Well ok i've included Everton so 'big' is maybe not the right word . Anyway it reads:

P14 W2 D7 L5 so that's 13 pts from a possible 42 .

So yes lots can change over the course of the season and hey we may spend 100m in January but right now how do you think we'll do against them as the season progresses ?

I was going to say that winning these games isn't the be all and end all as long as you don't drop stupid points to lower teams like we have in the past .However , considering after 10 games there is 1 point separating 2nd and 7th with Utd just a further 2 pts behind these games are massively important this season .

I'm not sure myself, i still don't have any confidence going into these games although i think we'll have a better record than last season, especially from the home games.

It's hard to tell. Tactically, Arsenal are pretty much always the team I fear the most, in terms of their ability to give us a hiding, it's happened for years because when they're on song, there's not many teams that get close to them. I'm less worried about facing Chelsea because we often give them a game, City are unpredictable in these sort of encounters, Old Trafford will be difficult and we usually get fuck all out of Spurs at their place. I'm actually pretty worried about Everton, they're strong in midfield which is, let's face it, our Achilles heal.

Arsenal - 1pt
Spurs - 3pts
Everton - 1pt
Chelsea - 4pts
United - 3pts
City - 3pts

A lot may change with the January transfer window for, especially, United and ourselves. However taking the teams as they are now :

Arsenal - 3pts
Spurs - 3pts
Everton - 4pt
Chelsea - 4pts
United - 4pts
City - 1pt

Credit where credit is due, in the main, We've managed to start winning the lower and mid table games. For me, Rodgers ability to win these top 6 games will be the difference between 5th and 3rd

1 Arsenal 10 13 25
2 Liverpool 11 11 23
3 Southampton 11 10 22

so our 2 defeats were against teams in the top 3 . not the worst then but again getting results against the top teams is the next thing to work on .

For me, these games will see me get TB (true beliver-ism).

Come out of these 4 game period in 2 weeks with 12 points and it's game on.

Dec 15 11:00 ET Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool White Hart Lane Premier League
Dec 21 7:45 ET Liverpool v Cardiff City Anfield Premier League
Dec 26 12:30 ET Manchester City v Liverpool Etihad Stadium Premier League
Dec 29 11:00 ET Chelsea v Liverpool Stamford Bridge Premier League

It's a cliche but let's just concentrate on beating the blue shite next.
