SIX SERIOUS BIDS FOR LFC

Why would G&H tell a person (Broughton) to sell to a buyer who would be the best for the club and not the highest bidder?
Broughton MUST have restrictions or a fat bonus coming up if he sells to the highest bidder.

Or aren´t G&H all of a sudden greedy yanks who wants to make most profit as possible?

The more you read about this proposed takeover, the more confused you get. Can the Americans block every approach, are RBS in a position to force a sale through. Who's on the board, will they vote after going through the bids.

I know Broughton has a vote, as he was brought in to ubalance the power struggle between H and G.

But it's just to much speculation and talk. I hope for the love of God that we are sold in a few weeks, but I'm not holding my breath. The two cuntos will do everything to hold on even if it means running this club into the ground.

I just hope RBS, Broughton, Ayre and Purslow do the right thing. Get those yank fucks out, and agree a sale to a owner that is worthy a club like ours.

I think I'll do like Sunny, and just zone all this out. What happens happens. Hopefully something positive.
If you could just "zone out" a little more quietly, that would be great.

"Ahhhhhhh, i dont understand long words and business speak - all this just seems soooooooo complicated, its too confusing, and rather than accepting I havent got a fucking clue what is going on im going to assume things are going badly waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh".

For. Fucks. Sake.

Broughton, the snakey cunt, lied about the date. He said it would be mid-July, everyone with a calendar knows it's fucking August!!

Anyway, this is all good, at least we're making the right noises. It didn't seem like many would be interested due to G&H trying inflate the asking price, now we (reportedly) have several interested parties. Good stuff. Not getting my hopes up though.

Seriously? Beyond "Business deals are complicated, and take quite a long time to resolve" what more is this adding?

G&H still own the club, albeit through loans that the banks are putting pressure on them to repay. Investors know this, and arent simply going to pay an inflated price to get the deal done. As such there will be an element of brinkmanship which were simply going to have to cope with.

Having a fucking wibble over the whole thing being "complicated" is pretty pointless.

Fuck off Gertrude!

I have no problem understanding any of with, it's more to do with the fact that everything is twisted and turned in the media. Every story out there has a different approach and a different view on what the scenario is and how it all could be resolved.
Thats what this is all about.

You're probably the most irritating fuckwit on this forum, so please just crawl back under your stone and stay there.

You probably think you're funny, but thats shockingly far from the truth. If you don't have anything constructive to say then please do us all a favour and;

Shut.the.fuck.up.

So your previous post was just melodramatic bollocks then? Thanks for clearing that up.

One minute its all "this is ever so complicated" the next "I have no problem understanding any of this". What is the latest devastating insight?????? THE MEDIA TWIST AND TURN THINGS. Thank fuck you are here genius.

RBS will do what's best for RBS; so if the Yanks can come up with other offers they'll probably get looked at.

One thing going against the Yanks is probably that their credibility is now pretty poor; since conjuring up mysterious Syrian billionaires and Illuminati type funds seem to be their best efforts so far.

As for whether the Yanks can 'block' any potential sale; my guess is 'yes' only to the level that RBS is prepared to accept and hold out.

Again, the odds of the Yanks being able to come up with something doesn't look good.

My main fear is litigation; even if they do come up with a bullshit offer it may be enough to injunct sale proceedings..

If they in any way block the sale of the club, and I doubt they will now, they may aswell go into hiding.

EDIT. Or just stay in the US. So no change there then!

Ha, you're such a massive fucking bellend.

So, you understand that the media twists and turns things, good. So, what part of "zone out" don't you understand?
Meaning not reading anymore about it, just let it all happen and see were we end up. Simple really.

If something got lost in translation, then who the fuck cares. In your pointless meaningless life you surely have something better to do.

I'm with Hansern.

Wouldn't It Be GREAT to just be a fan again?

You know. A fan of Liverpool FC. Celebrating wins and trophies. Being excited by transfer windows and who might be joining. Enjoying the rivalry with Everton, United et al.

Because that's been all but sucked out of us over the last few years.

Instead - as evidenced by various LFC forums - we've been driven seemingly insane by the need to try and become (and in every case, fail) experts on financing, debt, loan repayments, and administration. To attempt to decipher the media machinations, in-fighting, agendas, lies and manoeuvering. To read between the lines of every press statement and article telling us who is leaving/ staying/ getting fired/ hired/ sacked. To pretend that mediocre Player X or Y is "just what we need" or "is still young" because we can't afford anyone better.

I haven't enjoyed being a Liverpool fan for years.

I'd like it back please.

Deal with it. The things you highlight are not really issues about being a Liverpool fan, but being a modern day football fan.

We cant have it both ways - many, many people on here (including you on occasion) have bemoaned the previous owners lack of commercial savvy - in effect we were stuck in a mindset of thinking only about football. Now weve got into the 21st centruy, and these are the trials and tribulations that go with a commercial enterprise of our size. It aint going to change now.

Fair enough. It would be nice to enjoy the football again though, but as said, the two go hand in hand, a happy home and all that. We need the money, we need stability and hopefully the rest will follow.

Deal with what? People quacking on incessantly about topics they essentially know two parts of fuck all about and have no power to influence anyway? Maybe I should spend 10 minutes before each match poring over the latest commercial opportunities in the asian market with my mates, instead of discussing how much we all hate Lucas, and where Gerrard should play?

No thanks. It's not a fucking "commercial enterprise" to me. It's my football club, and all I really care about is winning games and trophies and watching great players.

I'll leave the tedious, ill-informed armchair financial analysis to experts like you.

Yeah I want to see us bidding for the best players in the world. It's fucking ridiculous to see nomarks like Chelsea and Man City bidding for the top players while we rely on the free transfer market. We should be bidding for people like Ozil, Dzeko, Silva, Villa.

And we should be winning trophies and swatting the opposition aside while doing it.

I hope this is *THE* fucking turning point in our history.

Increasingly demented Brendan.

I dont do any financial analysis on our club, and to be fair there hasnt been anyone more tedious than you on here over the last few months. Would "People quacking on incessantly about topics they essentially know two parts of fuck all about and have no power to influence anyway?" include your analysis of/comments on Broughton the ssssssssssnake and Uncle Woy? Surely it must.

Who wouldnt want to go back to simply concentrating on the football, and enjoying the matches? I suspect others miss the days when fans showed more commitment to being supportive of the team, and didnt, for example, label players "The Cunt" and wish terrible illness upon them. Still, onwards and upwards...

genuine question.
what's to stop Kenny Huang saying he is backed by people with deep pockets now and then at a later stage saying 'well, actually they (the people with deep pockets) are no longer interested' after he owns the club?

That's exactly what I have said I want to do.

Of course, I didn't then add in any caveats about "old-fashioned" supporter values - you did that yourself - because I like calling Lucas a cunt, frankly.

Hope that's all clear, cheers.

Because by all accounts he is a deal broker rather than a billionaire himself and doesn't have the finances to buy the club on his own.

Grjt chill out, you come on here every now and again and absolutely flip out at someone after just slightly twisting what they posted and then like dog with a bone don't let go.

I think most fans of football clubs in the Prem would rather not have to worry about servicing debts and how much it would cost to do so. Most people would rather get involved in the football discussions and not have to trawl through the web to find out about the rest of this shit.

I find it quite amusing that some people are treating Ross as some kind of authority on this

Tee hee
Indeed, especially as earlier in the piece he says he "got the figures wrong" about simple profit and loss.

Truth is we are fed speculation by journalists and should know better than to give it any credence. Bidders bids will be confidential for obvious reasons.

Wait for an announcement, at least then we can review information from 'experts' and hopefully glory in a new beginning.
Yes the difference between the 11m I quoted off the top of my head and the 13m that I found in the accounts absolutely destroys whatever little credibility I had.

As most people remember I called it all correctly last time.
I think I'll just wait for an announcement.

All this mess shows that Moores transfer of the club was just a beginning of the end.

We really are about to sell the small piece of integrity we has as a football club to the highest bidder. We might end up as the playtoy of chines businessmen whose only aim is to screw the poor asians for even more mone through gambling, cause the chinese i.e. arent passionate football fans they are passinate gamblers.

From what I read on ths forum people are screaming out for the deal to be concluded shortly so that we can splash enourmous amount of cash on any mediocre player with a name who is available for such high salaries that we wont be rid them until their contract is up anyway.

To me it seems like people here want to loose control and want to be assholes. Some people crave to be Manchester City. What the hell is the world comming to.

I want G and H out yes. I hope the rotten in in their own depth after they leave as a final warning for greedy yanks to saty away from PL. However I dont want us to loose all that this club is built on. I accept the fact that we are in a catch 22, but somehow I am desperate to trust that Broughton has the dignity to stay calm and not jump at the bidders orders and rather do the job properly.
Wow ... don't know where to start really.

1. I'm really interested to know how you know the Chinese aren't passionate football fans ? Actually they are, very. Massive crowds going to watch crap games, fanatical interest in events such as the World Cup, PL, La Liga, Scudetto etc. all go to prove they do. Many of my staff end up sleeping at their desks each World Cup because they've been up all hours supporting their adopted teams. In addition to China places like Singapore and Hong Kong have clubs and bars with live feeds virtually every time a match is on. You couldn't be more wrong. Gamblers they are for sure but they love football for the game too.

2. Who has said splash big cash on mediocre players ? I haven't seen anyone advocating that. And if you don't splash the cash on quality players then how do you ever expect to catch up with the likes of United, Chelsea & City to name just a few ? If we are going to become dominant again in any shape or form a lot of money has to be spent - fact of life.

3. Do you think we could do worse than G&H ? A pair that have driven us almost to the point of insolvency and administration ? Really ? OF course Broughton will do his due diligence on the buyers too - do you think he'd skip it because a few people on the internet said close the deal and to hell with protocol ?

That was a really weird post from you.

Ooooh grjt .... You are so clever... So .... Masterful when you are angry.

I'm with Brendan and Hansern on this one I'm getting fucked off with this tedious business bullshit, especially seeing as it seems to be working against us.
1. Of course you will find fans. As we do all over. However the gambling in Asia are immense. Which has a.o. thing brought lots of money into fixing games in Europe.

2. Have a look around you. People scream for money to buy players. Dont care who, or how they will fit in. We had 12 players in the world cup and brought in two more now. Still we dont have depth in hte squad to compete with teams that was nowhere near this number? Doesnt that tell anything

Will everything be better than today? What makes you believe everything will be so rozy just as soon as a new owner comes in. We are getting to a point were all we will be is a moneymachine for businessmen. We will be valued at what money we can generate, and not what trophies we pick up. I agree that most things will look better than G and H but they were seen as gods compared to Moores, and were they?

Weird post maybe, but it is on the SCM so I t is supposed to be weitrd to fit in 😉
