Thinks he owns the place

I already think he's boss but this interview really shows what kind of person he is and he'll hopefully have a very good season next year. I know the forum is divided about his quality but I fucking love him. Boss!!

Scrap that I've found it again.

Yeah it's good and he comes across very well. For me I can speak a little French and that was some good comprehension practice. I find most Parisians speak very quickly but not Sakho. He speak very slowly and surprisingly softly.

I'd like to see him + player x (lovren?) in the middle next season, and agger and skrtel on the bench or sold.
I like Sakho, I'm not sure what it is, but I think he'll turn out to be a monster for us.

The Beast was skipper at PSG, wasn't he? At a young age too. Tends to suggest he has something about him.

He does have rough edges to his play still, but overall his was a pretty darn good debut season IMO. If he maintains that progress he'll be a monster.

He just needs to stop diving in, which in fairness he seemed to cut out towards the end of the season, bar the odd blip.

The beast was also their 3rd/4th choice when we bought him.

but again he looks like a centre back who needs a leader in there beside him telling him what to do . He had a decent first season no more and i will be expecting alot more from him next , especially considering he cost 17m (yes i know the price is not his fault but it means he should be of a very high quality or someone has fucked up) .

He's made a sound start here having not played much in the previous 12 months.

He's a future legend of Liverpool

I loved the idea of Sakho - highly-rated young CB but with enough experience, just about to hit his prime etc., and I really think there are few who've wanted him to succeed as much as I have, not least because of the amount of money we spent on him.

But very objectively, I'm not really convinced. His strength and aerial ability are his obvious attributes, but given that, I'd expect him to be a Hyypia/Vidic type organiser. Instead he plays like Skrtel - last ditch going-to-the-ground defending - without having Skrtel's pace or tackling ability!

If he cuts that shit out of his game, and starts being more of a leader, perhaps he will become a better defender. But at the moment, his poise is one of a defender who only likes to play on the edge.

great on the ball, good passing and vision, ye he goes in for tackles but 90% of the time he gets it right. Are people not convinced cause he looks a bit leggy or something? I dont get it

To be fair, he can't really assert himself as a "leader" when playing alongside Skrtel, as it's Skrtel who seems to have that role. It's just that he's not very good at it.

It's because at the moment he doesn't quite seem to exhibit the kind of composure you associate with top class defenders.

There is no doubt that he has potential and his debut season has been ok (and the stats help that cause) but despite that I think a lot of people are buying into the idea of Sakho (beast this beast that) rather than what we actually see on the pitch.

Hope he takes it up a notch next season and proves we did in fact nab one of Europe's top defenders.

I don't think he's particularly good.

I've also never understood why people keep saying he's good on the ball. He looks pretty dodgy in possession to me.

He must be doing something right to be a first choice for France, there is a fair bit of competition for those places in the French team, Deschamps seems to rate him highly and has nothing but good to say about him.

We haven't seen the best of him yet, he hasn't even played 20 games for us, from what we have seen so far i have every confidence in the bloke, he just needs more time to get comfortable with the league and being part of our team.

Unsurprisingly I have never heard of any of them. I take you don't rate them Modo.?

Varane could become a World class defender but he's still very young. Kocielny is a decent defender we've seen him do well at Arsenal.
Rami is shit, Mangala meh.

Go on, enlighten us about your theory.
What theory? The fact is that he was their third or fourth choice. Their management preferring Brazilians is the theory.
My thinking is that they thought he was more wank than the two or three who were ahead of him.
Or has anyone from their management said anything different?
