For some reason I'm not totally sold on Sakho yet. I can't put my finger on it. He did absolutely nothing wrong today but he doesn't instal confidence into me. Is it just me? I wasn't sold on his debut but I'm aware of his good reputation and enjoyed his beast like qualities so was happy to put it down to lack of match sharpness.

It's a weird one, I think he's going to be a good player for us. Maybe it's his body movement. Can someone reassure me it's just me being bonkers or are others a bit nervy watching him?

I didn't get to watch either of the midweek games, but I think after Kolo, Sakho should be next choice. Looks good on the ball, physical player, checks the majority of the boxes in what we were looking for. Skrtel/Agger have a tendency to be indecisive on the ball, or when caught in open space against an attacker, but I like that Kolo/Sakho are able to commit quickly and decisively instead of waffling about it. Same can be said if you're comparing Reina and Mignolet at times.

I guess when we concede in the future, it won't be because of a lack of effort, as has been the case so many times before.

I don't know what it is. He had 96% passing accuracy but every time he shaped up to pass the ball I was nervy.

I think I might just be cracking up.

You're not alone ILD. It's almost like he's still growing into his body. His left footed aspect makes him seem awkward but the execution invariably just works.

I wince when he's making passes across the defense because it looks like he's going to give it away.

But fair fucks to the lad if he keeps strong attackers quiet. Him and Kolo have changed our team in the way that brutish strikers can no longer trample our defence.

Heh, I'm with you.

He looks like a mistake waiting to happen. Under pressure he'll cough up possession too.

I didn't want to draw any similarities to Traore. THATS RACIST.

Okay, so it isn't just me. Hopefully after a few more games The Sakho will instal confidence in us.

It's his body movement innit? The lad has don't nothing wrong bar diving in on his debut but i'm perplexed by him.

He moves it quickly and perhaps that's what he's being told to do. I noticed he gives it to a player in a tricky position also which might lead us to being turned over. I'm all for playing it around and keeping possession but i still want my defenders to get rid if that is the better decision. Kolo does it.

Perhaps a 'mistake waiting to happen' is a tad harsh as he hasn't done anything wrong bar the odd positional blip.

I think he is going to become a sensationally player.

He's improving hugely in every game. When was the last time one of our CB's had the highest pass completion in the team?

Christ. 47 out of 49 passes away from home in his 3rd match. What more do you want?
He could be passing it with his knees and have a twist in his body shape for all that I care.
He's a monster at the back and we now win those headers we used to lose.
Seeing as he's had next to no pre season I think he'a adopted very well already.

Gave the ball away once against Sunderland and stayed on his feet.
He'll be fantastic for us, that I've got no doubt about.

The comparisons with Traore are lazy and ludicrous. *Every* defender has a mistake in him, even very good ones. Yes, the diving in on the first game was panic inducing, but since the first half against Swansea (when I'm sure he was told to cut that shit out) he has been the kind of player Traore never had in him (and lest we forget it, against Swansea he made an absolutely amazing last-ditch tackle that gave us a share of the points).

He looks a bit gangly and awkward, I think that's where the sense of panic comes from, as said though, his decisiveness on the ball has been unquestionable, he always picks out a decent forward pass and his defensive play has got alot better since that first game. Him and Toure are much better in the air than Agger & Skrtel too.

Promising so far. I was worried after he dived in a few times in the first game but he's come on alot.

It's funny you should mention that last ditch tackle. Someone on here called him an "idiot" because he could have mistimed it. Maybe our defenders shouldn't challenge for the ball, you know, just in case.

I always maintained that Sakho is a beast but lacks match fitness. The lad needs game time to get up to speed and is looking better in every game. Its great to see that we're not been bullied defensively anymore. I'm loving Toure directing traffic at the back. His big, strong, quick and vocal. The lad plays with his heart on his sleeve. What a brilliant signing by BR!

He looked so comfortable against Sunderland yesterday. It looked like he only broke a sweat when he ran all the way down the field to congratulate Suarez.

I'm not sure what one of those is, but I think he'll be one of those players that we look back on in a few years and say, 'can you remember all those people who said he was shit when we first signed him'. I think he'll be great.

I don't think anyone was comparing him to Djimi's ability. It's more to do with body size and shape and what he looks like when he passes the ball. He's clearly a vastly more talented footballer than Traore. As an aside, Traore was at the club for 7 years! 7. Fuck me.

Lads, for the record I haven't bashed Sakho at all. He didn't put a foot wrong yesterday and I think he'll be a very good player for us. I was just commenting on the fact that I get a nervy feeling for no reason when he's on the ball and I've no idea what was the catalyst for this. Perhaps his body movement. Dunno.

We are giving him time mate. The majority of us already think he's a beast and will be great for us.

I only said he looked gangly like Traore and that puts the fear in us!

Same way if united produced another little ginger centre midfielder shaped like Scholes, somewhere in my mind I might have the completely unfounded assumption that he couldn't tackle.
