Dont' you feel that despite these teams being strong (i.e. Barca, and Real) - if they face us we would give them a fucking good kicking ? - I just have a feeling we are going into this season to win everything and just might do so.

Not really.

I think we could catch Barca cold on our day as they're pretty susceptible to counter-attacking sides and their game as a whole has suffered over the last few years so they're not as dangerous as they used to be. I wouldn't write them off though.

Real are a bit like us in some ways - direct, lethal on the break and not so great at the back. They've got a lot of quality too.

I think jury is still out as far as we're concerned. We were great last season but that was just one season. We have to prove that we've still got it even without Suarez.

He was crap when we wellied them at the Nou Camp in 2007. Arbeloa bossed the ja ja binks looking gobshite.

We have that affect on Barc and Real Madrid and the rest of the shit teams in Europe. It is not easy for any club to face us in Europe because as a club I have realized that when we are in Europe - we expect nothing short of winning the competition. I think in every LFC fan there is that belief which unlike winning the league (which was killed off by successive managers with '5-year plans') for most of us winning in Europe is something we expect.

Is this who Tim Vicary was banging on about us signing or alluding to?

Interesting.

When I first read Tim Vickery's comments I thought he must be talking about a South American footballer, since he is specialist in South American football.

I was thinkin Cavani/Icardi though!

He was the most entertaining player I've ever watched. Watching him over the last several years has been a sad experience though. Why do Brazilians always have to go fat and shit!

More specifically, those talented sexy football types - seems like it often goes like this - sexy, sexy > injured > sexy > injured, injured > bloated.

If I remember correctly, the more workhorse or runner types like Dunga, Cafu, Serginho, Roberto Carlos, etc. pretty much kept in good shape throughout their top flight playing careers.

So Neymar and Coutinho are in line to become 4x their current size in due course, while Lucas and Paulinho will still be slim down the road.

Do little Brazilians get fat and shit too, I thought only the taller ones were afflicted?

Good question. Nearest image I could find in Google in answer to the query: "Short fat Brazilian strikers"

WALTER.jpg

Walter Henrique da Silva (born 22 July 1989), simply known as Walter, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Fluminense FC on loan from F.C. Porto as a striker.

But I'm cheating a little here as he's 1.76m tall - about 5cm taller than Coutinho. Neymar is quoted at 1.75m though, so I suppose this works.

Seems a pretty odd link, the opposite kind of player that Rodgers would want.

But obviously, it'd be great to have someone like him, if only to get a couple of moments of magic from him.

Not going to happen though.

...So I finally get rid of that absolute bastard of a guest in Room 513 Mr Zinedine fecking Zidane, and all of his fecking luggage that's been accumulating for the last ten fecking years, I've just sat down to have a cuppa and a fag, and then Reception calls me over and says 'Please take up Mr Ronaldinho's luggage to Room 513'. Un-fecking-believeable!!!

The most skillful player Ive ever seen, hes not the player he was 5 or 6 years ago but Id take him on a one year deal with low wages

He would be an immense influence on the likes of Coutinho and Suso in the training ground. Get him in!

Hes a notoriously lazy bastard in training, Guardiola fucked him out to stop him being a bad example to Messi so I think thats probably not going to be his strong suit
