Disagree with you wholeheartedly. He was rarely awful. I saw him have some really good games for us. He was brilliant at Stoke in the FA cup one year I remember. Was a model professional and also loved the club. But then it's all about opinion innit?

I have no problem with his attiutude/personality but I remember him as a very dodgy keeper...........maybe my 49 year old memory is playing tricks on me.

I don't hate Hooper because IMO he tried his best; I do however HATE Itandje and Grobbelaar, I am convinced that Brucie fixed matches against us and that makes him an uber-cunt in my eyes.

I was a season ticket holder in the Souness/Houllier era but I seem to remember watching this game in a pub in Birmingam whilst there on business. Maybe Hooper suffered the same misfortune as James, Freidel and Westerweld i.e. playing behind ridiculously porous defences.

I think Reina should be sold and a top class keeper brought in. Jones did well today but looked a bit iffy at times. And why can't he kick a ball out of his hands past the half way line.
