Ladies and gentlemen,

We are witnessing the meteoric rise of a world class talent ... He is being managed brilliantly, and his talking on the pitch since the the Hull game has been great.

He's already one of the best wingers in England, and he's only 19 ... He's going to be one of the best players - period - in England if he carries on on this curve in the coming years.

Credit has to go to Rodgers for this. Also Gerrard and Suarez for the way they lead from the front - I think Gerrard (and, from an interview I read, Kolo Toure) have been strong influences. I think Luis must be a great influence on every young player at the club with his work ethic at every practice. Now, hopefully, people like Ibe can take encouragement from Raheem's example and realize what hard work will add to their talent.

That was arguably his best performance in a red shirt today, he was brilliant.

Hopefully we get to see one of the montage videos of all his touches in that game.

He's built like a twig but he's made of bricks

Fucking love him

guys calma...you are right but it is a statistical strength recording. So when he starts doing that more often, of course it will get added to the list. The thing is as of now Sterling's talent is utilised with his pace more as of now. His holding of the ball may be being used when he plays in the center. So it will come eventually if he keeps doing that regularly.

There was a Portuguese writer on Football Weekly (guardian podcast) on last season after Sterlings first 3 months who was insistent he was nothing more than a speed merchant and lenon mk 2, even though rest of the guys said he's only 17-18 at the time. That hatefull cnt hasn't been on since...

Excellent post. The mix is crucial. Even with individual players as good as most of ours, the total package can add value to them all.

He's fucking awesome. For such a small guy the amount of sheer strength he displays is amazing. Definitely going to be Kop legend.

Very impressive of late.

Just needs to work heavily on his finishing - 9/10 1v1 I still feel like he is gonna miss - if he improve his finishing then his game goes to the next level.

Same applies to Henderson ... if these 2 can improve their finishing then it gives us even more firepower and takes the pressure off Suarez/Sturridge.

Yes, and now BR has enough options so that Sterling isn't starting every game which dragged him down last year. We all know that consistency is a problem with younglings, but BR's deployment of different formations and tactics which mean Sterling isn't on all the time, has kept him really sharp and hungry. Great player. Great management.

Fantastic player.

The difference between him and Lennon was huge.

Even if Hodgson doesnt start him he has to be the first attacking option of the bench.

I don't understand how Hodgson can really pick anyone else over him. He's the perfect winger at the moment - you get pace, flair and genuine attacking threat as well as proper work ethic and defensive solidity. What more could a manager want?

So much good in that video.

The turn he makes when around their midfielder (sorry in phone so can't see who) on 67 minutes it's like playing Fifa, when you spin the analog pad around & think to yourself "you don't see players really doing that". Sublime.
