Here's his total for the year...Pretty poor really.

Will things get better?

Seems like we sold another player at the right time..

2 assists!
Raheem Sterling

POSITION:
Midfielder
2015 / 2016 Barclays Premier League
  • 31Games
  • 6Goals
  • 2Assists
  • 52Shots
Lol 52 shots...

Top conversion rate that..

He was always never the best in front of goal..

He will be loaned out next season most probably..

It was a pity it all went sour between us and Raheem. He made his decision so fuck him but if the the Aidy Ward drama didn't exist, Sterling would probably still be one of our best players.
Just imagine how good the kid could have been under Klopp, I guess he'll be hoping Pep can get the best out of him, but in retrospect he must be kicking himself for moving before he had the chance to work with Klopp. Hindsight and all that.

I seriously doubt that. From his perspective, he's earning more money than he would have here. He's won a Cup already, reached the semis of the CL and has the opportunity to now work with Guardiola.

Why would he be suddenly regretting the move?

Also, looking at the PL stats alone is a bit misleading. His overall stats are 12 goals and 8 assists in 49 appearances. That isn't too shabby, and better than most of our AMs.

So I wouldn't be so quick to write him off. He's a major talent.

Because despite what people say, I believe his primary goal is to develop as a player, and he hasn't done that at City thus far. He certainly may under Pep, thats why I mentioned it, but he also may be cast out and replaced with someone Pep prefers, we just can't say. If he'd been here for the last six months, he wouldn't have a league cup to his name, but I'm very confident he'd have been a better player and have had a better season. I also think that Klopps style of football is tailor made for Raheem, I'm less sure if Pep's tiki taka is.

He'd still improve our team wouldn't he ?

Hes been fairly effective this season and who knows what guardiola may be able to do with him

Yep, that's the point I keep trying to make. He didn't exactly light it up at City but if he was still with us he'd probably still be one of our best players. He was before he left. The Aidy Ward drama spoiled him staying and we did well to get 50 million. Let's move on.

50 million was a ludicrous amount, but I still think he could go on to be a major success. He has all the attributes. As said before here though I reckon he'd be better suited to Klopp's game than Pep's. I think he'd be outstanding playing for Klopp.
