Unlikely. It's why losing the final was a major kick in the teeth. Winning trophies gives players a sense of purpose; Coutinho's been here 4 years and he's won nothing. And he's seen a world class player like Suarez leave for bigger and better things.

The more we have to spend, the more we overpay on other players. See Carroll, Aquilani, Benteke and Lallana. Having a larger wedge of cash is no comfort to me at all.

no point in keeping behind a world class talent from progressing to greater things, with PSG he'll likely win 4 major league trophies in 1 season which is what football is all about ( ligue 1, coupe de la ligue, coupe de france, french super cup) as well as last 8 in CL.
I'm sure he'd rather play with the likes of cavani moura di maria luiz and silva as opposed to lallana milner henderson and ings.
