'COUTINHO HAS BARCA QUALITY'

Dani Alves believes that Liverpoolmidfielder Philippe Coutinho has the "quality" to play for Barcelona.

“Football is about living the moment. Liverpool have history but you should consider playing for top Champions League sides,” Alves told Yahoo Esportes.

“He has the quality to play for Barcelona.”

He's left Barcelona and hes still tapping up players on their behalf.

Commitment.

The tosser was happy enough with the idea of coming to us when he thought it would get him out of Sevilla.

I actually think going to Barça at this stage could blow up in Coutinho's face. I'm not convinced he's ready, and he could well be overtaken by some other big money signing if he didn't start well.

Coutinho wouldn't start for Barca as he'd have Neymar ahead of him on the left and Iniesta ahead of him in the middle so even if they did want them he'd be going to sit on the bench.

I guess it's just the Brazilian media asking questions and privately no doubt Coutinho is saying he's up for a move.

He's not an 'unknown concept'. That's a ridiculous exaggeration. Some have followed him for some time - he was hardly an obscure kid. I know this is the silly season on here when the combination of inaction and boredom encourages this kind of thread, but there's no need to distort stuff so much.

In a thread full of distortion about Coutinho.

So you want to keep up the distortion instead of ending it. Good man. It's probably quite healthy that you've transferred your dogmatic and blinkered self-righteous indignation on behalf of Rodgers to that of Coutinho - is there a specific day in each year when this changeover occurs? - but it would be even better if you just stopped this mad one man campaign and returned to the forum as a mere mortal as flawed as the rest of us.

So I disagree with a couple of points over Coutinho, and I have to pipe down. Imagine how hypocritical that sounds. Maybe I'm just a mere mortal like the rest of you with flawed opinions, and I'm just disagreeing with your points, just like your disagreeing with mine. I don't see how that equates to something unhealthy, it's just an opinion, like yours. One man campaign? I think alot of people rate Coutinho highly and would defend him just the same, pretty sane people too. Cf Keni, Squiggles, etc. I don't know why you're resorting to getting so arsey about it. I rate him a bit higher than you do, shit happens.

I have alot of fondness for you and your posts Macca, we all have our favourites and less favourites.

Haha that's right...we nearly bought Alves didn't we. Seems surreal now.

I watched it with a bunch of mates when we were all dead drunk. Found it quite funny then.

Bit of a shit watch when you're sober though.

I watched it assuming it was one of those movies which are so bad and ridiculous that it will be good. Unfortunately it just ended up being so bad.

That Europa final loss is going to cost us big time re recruitment/retention.

And the irony that Coutinho had a stinker in the biggest of games...

I'm excited by this bit
If we actuality played chess to get transfers we may actually perform better in the transfer market.

Although I have visions of Ayre cracking his knuckles & then trying to play draughts with the pieces, before the other club's ceo sighs & walks away from the table.
