Pre-Match Norwich (A) League Cup. Tuesday 7.45pm

I kind of think it would be nice to put a bit more effort into the League and FA Cups this year, 2 League Cups and 1 FA Cup in 20 years is a bit shit really. Plus, giving local fans a chance of attending a final instead of concentrating on shirt sales in Eastern Mongolia would be a welcome change in approach. Probably won't happen.

I can't imagine Norwich will put too much emphasis on this game with a 0-0-5 start in the league.

Ox, Taki, Divock, Keita, Jones, Gomez, Phillips should be certain starters.

I would think Milly, Robbo and Matip will play 60 mins each.

KELLEHER
GOMEZ NAT MATIP ROBBO
MILLY KEITA JONES
OX DIVOCK MINAMINO
I sincerely hope we don't see ANY first teamers on the pitch today. Not one for not one minute. And currently that includes Keita.

Sorry in advance folks - I can’t be arsed watching this one - so I’ll break the cycle of wins this season.

Forgive me.

After your comment I had a look in the fridge and had a jar of Coleman's (of Norwich, it's right there on the label).

Anyway, I don't use it that often, usually go with dijon and mayo. But it started me thinking about my granda. He would have had those tins of Coleman's dried mustard and wee pot with a lid and tiny spoon for serving the mustard. Good memories to mixing the powder with water. It's probably the smell that helps the memory stay so strong.
I have a tin of that powder stuff. I remember using it as a kid to mix up mustard, these days I just mix it with honey for a glaze on the Christmas ham.

Oops, I strayed into non manly territory - Ill go change the timing belt on my mower to reset the equilibrium

I'd say it's 1 hundred million fucking percent not happening.

Too bad for Phillips, the rest mostly as expected, except the midfield where it looks like Keita will be asked to play DM? That’s an interesting experiment.

Kabak on the bench for Norwich.

Never knew this but Bradley's already made 3 sub appearances for the Northern Ireland....all 3 clean sheets kept, not bad.

He had great defensive stats in Germany. But that was the BL - we'll see how it pans out here.

I love Norwich. At least they come to play. Always entertaining games. I'll save my hate for the Burnley's of this world.
Yep I totally agree. I've always loved Norwich. Well sound team. In my yoof they were my local team. Always keep an eye out for their results. Burnley can fuck off (and Leeds for that matter) Norwich though are ace. Does anyone remember that game again Bayern? Jeremy Goss?! 25 yrd screamer. Hilarious! Delia haranging the Carrow Rd faithful 'Let's be having you!' LOLS.

The manager might well get sacked soon but I really like the guy and hope he pulls it around. I'll be rooting for them this season (just not this game!)

We always used to take it seriously, the other teams certainly do still. Just once since Klopps first season would it hurt just to give it a go ?
I know that Liverpool are the best team in the world, and as such I want us to win everything, Leagur Cup, FA Cup everything. So It hurts me when we don't

I think it is a good experiment. He can cover ground and read the game well. His tackling stats are excellent.

In theory, he should be Kante-like, I think the main question is just plan strength. He always seem so easy to push off the ball in any sustained tackle, rather than a toe poke.

And, he could break.

Which is why I thought Gomez would be a good experiment (and Phillips into the back 4) . Strong, very fast, he'd be good in the air because he's 6′ 2″ and would be facing the action not having balls floating over him from the side plus he's a good passer.
