We defended almost perfectly, at least for 88 minutes or so. Their one chance Ødegaard should score in, and that Martinelli chance.

Other than that we were in great shape

Robbo deserved the MOTM for me. Matip was up there as well. Alisson never knows when he's beaten, just so focused and concentrated even when it looks like a certain goal. Bobby for the little fizzer to squeeze it in. Decent contest, Martinelli did well.

After we went two up..Tyler sounded as if someone had pissed in his tea.

I thought we were relatively comfortable to be honest. We were slightly too measured and conservative in the first. In the second we stepped it up, in terms of intensity and pressing and they shit their pants. The second from Bobby, the way they panicked under pressure, just showed they are still off the level of City and us, and possibly Chelsea.

Not sure what Arteta was saying about them being very good box to box, they barely created anything.

Shout out to Trent, I think he stuck in there very well against Martinelli, with the help of Hendo.

Great win!

Robbo MOTM for me; he was the only one defending properly in the 1st half and his desire to win the ball back made the 2nd goal. Matip close 2nd, 3rd could be Fabinho, Thiago (I thought he did do a lot of good things besides the assist, like pressing and tackling), Trent or Alli, but I'll go for Firmino whose introduction changed the game.

Martinelli was unplayable in the 1st half; clearly took Klopp's praise to heart and was trying his best to impress him. Arsenal are getting closer to us; they just missed a bit of sharpness and experience in key moments.

Klopp mentioned him again in his post match interview.
Definitely tapping him up

Thought mo made a big difference when he came on. All of a sudden we had an outlet and somewhere the ball would stick when passed into the front 3.

He passed well too and made good decisions.

Haha, Klopp in his post match presser "if you want to be a striker for Liverpool then you have to work your fcuking socks off"....fantastic

I love Trent and he did his best against a tricky player in Martinelli but if he could just get some training over the coming years to sort out his body so that he doesn't get turned so easily then it would make him the perfect right back.

Against pacy tricky wingers, I find he gets turned in and out too easily sometimes. Compare his style with Robbo who knows how to hold his body and anticipate the drop of a shoulder much better. He's still young and has time to develop that.

Dont get me wrong Martinelli is going to do that to a lot of other defenders but still think Trent has room for improvement on that department
