Weve fucked it though H.
We practically had it sowed up.
Now we will have to be very very lucky to get top 4.
And if we do our squad will never compete in the league again. Its too thin for both.

Yeah I know mate, thats the insanely annoying part of it. We were in such a good position before January started.

I'm normally extremely sceptical about body language, but Lallana was quick to push away Klopp's arm over his shoulder after the game. Maybe he was still smarting from the criticism Klopp gave him earlier in the week. Whatever. It worked.

That observation wasn't lost on me either and I'm a quick study of body language. It was interesting. There was a camera in his face though so like you I'll brush it aside. What was true (which you also point out) is that whatever it was it worked with Lallana. He was immense.

Another minor observation re: team dynamics was that when Mane scored it was only really Can who went to celebrate with Mane straightaway whilst the rest followed in stages. Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana seemed to celebrate together first.

It was a good setup so it is nice that they appreciate that as well maybe.

Come on guys. It is not like someone gave us a good position. We fought for it and we delivered it ourselves. Not any freeride. And it was the same gang that put is in this good position in the first Place that you now slam instead of get behind.

I highlighted this against Spurs.

It looks to me that there is more in it.

Maybe Mane thinks he's above his teammates, he certainly comes across that way in his celebrations

Didnt Firmino congratuate Mane first? Coutinho, Firmino and Mane celebrated the first goal together.

Why? When he scored his goal, he copied Firmino's celebration (as he does to various teammates) and then did his (two arms raised at the stand).

What did you see that was wrong on Saturday? or in general?

Well you go away to africa on holiday leaving your team mates and team contending for title and 2cups. You come back and you find the team outta title race outta the cups and then you find out they struggle to score without you. Of course you will think they are below you and shit and have a high opinion of yourself.

We did it with Torres. We did it with Suarez. We did it with Alonso. And all the 6CM body language experts agreed that these guys were going nowhere and their passion for LFC would keep them at Anfield until they retired.

Yeah.

Yeah.

You use "we" far too broadly.

Hah! I had forgotten the whole body language expert "thing". Good times. Or not.

Yep. Sorry about that. I should have said "them fucking idiots".
If you think there's nothing to be curious about in thinking about how the team members celebrate together (or don't) then you're the fucking idiot.

I don't care if they give each other a reacharound in the showers or engage in fisticuffs as long as they play well.

Curiosity, I get that.

But I'm sorry, how they celebrate means fuck all in the grand scheme of things.

I heard some sports/team analysis/mind reader wonk on a podcast the other week saying when he's employed by a club he looks at how engaged players on the bench are when watching the game. Another on was watching how they behave in a queue for food, like they pile their plates and look after themselves or consider the teammates.

I'm not saying that there's something in this celebration bullshit, but some joker out there is making a good living doing just that.

He seemed to acknowledge that in passing. Against Spurs he pretty much did his own thing. I'm probably reading too much into it

Is anyone saying it does in this thread?
I merely pointed out to me at least it looks like Mane doesn't really engage with his teammates and some across like the team is beneath him. But I've also acknowledged I'm probably reading too much into it
