Well, he had brains though. The greatest defender in Liverpool's history, Jocky Hansen, couldn't head a ball to save his life.

Lucas deserves a 7 at least
You need a course in mathsYeah in a game we conceed 4 lets give our defensive midfielder man of the match...
I think the insanity is probably covered off better in the match thread. Neither team have very good defenders or goalkeepers, so it was no shock that there was plenty of goals. But it was superbly entertaining for lots of the right and wrong reasons.
Mignolet (5) given no help whatsoever by a chaotic defence, but saved nothing and conceded 4.
Sakho (3) Yawn. Another cult favourite with many fans. And another who is simp,y fucking rubbish. Terrible in the air and looks like a disaster in waiting. We don't usually have to wait long.
Toure (5) he was average individually, but he shouldn't be on the pitch really, and it's awful to think he's one of our better defenders at the moment.
Clyne (6) industrious as ever, deserves better around him
Moreno (3) retarded penalty and some challenges that bordered on dangerously stupid
Lucas (6) made some decent challenges, and also tried to be more adventurous in his passing, but he's too easily bypassed in the Premiership and shouldn't be in the starting XI
Henderson (6) still doesn't look fit to me, seemed rather tentative at times, but took his goal nicely before going off
Can (5) he was always involved, but he was careless in possession at times and overall it was ordinary
Ibe (6) surprised he came off, as he did pretty well and was a threat from out wide
Milner (6) nice goal and some nice passing and use of the ball, versatility was a bonus
Firmino (8) two goals and a pleasing, hardworking display
Subs: Lallana (8) transformed the game with his movement and running, the cross for the Firmino goal was decent, and his mishit winner was very deserved.
Sakho played really well before his injury, and headed very well, too. There was a European game where he bossed it all. You lot are far too forgetful in your rush to over-generalise. That's not to say he's good enough, but there's no need for over-editing the evidence.
Deny him the Klopp hugs for starters. Minimum. As bad as Sakho was, Jurgs and the lads should kick the shit out of Moreno for the penalty madness.
The whole team is far too passive. We need players that believe in their ability and then play to it.
There's no bite to this set of players.
While I admit missing periods of the game - Naismith's goal really annoyed me as we were so soft, I saw the first 30+ minutes of each half, and thought Milner was very poor.I wouldn't disagree with a 7 for Lucas, but the same applies to Milner.

With sakho there has been evidence (last season) that when given an injury free run in the team, he has some great qualities.
Just right now he looks half fit, really doubt he would near the first team had our other options not also been injured.

Even so.
He's not rubbish, he's just not good enough. Consistency and being prone to injury because you don't know how to run is part of it and he should not be our first choice CB.
By the way, the way makes everyone around him nervous by looking awkward comes at a very bad time for LFC, we've been needing to calm down for 2 years now.
His better games are the exception to the rule though. He's a liability more often than we can afford him to be...especially given how poor the rest of the defence and goalie are.Sakho played really well before his injury, and headed very well, too. A bit of patience while he was adapting to the league and language and then boom! Writing off players to early is a SCM trademark.

I didn't say he's barely had a good game for us. He makes too many mistakes...mistakes we can't afford. That's simply untrue. He's had a few decent runs in the side where he's looked very solid.
The problem with Sakho is that he takes a while to find himself and during that period he's unacceptably bad.
That said I remember him being praised for his performance against Utd.
Ultimately I don't really care if he gets replaced but the idea that he's barely had a good game for us is revisionist nonsense.
Hardly 'boom'...he's had what, three good games?
