We really are turning into a cracking team.
You know you've had a good morning when your disappointed it was 6/7 and that your 2nd best striker missed out on a hat trick

We've just won 4-0 in a derby, and a few posters want to wax lyrical about Barkley being on the verge of greatness.

Go and watch a few of Gerrard's early derbies, between stamping his mark on Kevin Campbell's groin and burying a fucking screamer at Goodison. THAT is the verge of greatness, not spraying a few nice balls around the park.

I thought Miralles was brilliant, but he's a horrible, horrible cunt, so he doesn't get much from me either.

And Cissokho, while still comically erratic, was far from "diabolical", he put in a shift like the rest and defended well, so deserves whatever plaudits come his way, from those who aren't that full of an agenda.

That was just because Studge said something back to him. I assure you, Suarez is always a tiny bit highly strung when playing

haha fair enough, I bet Suarez would've attempted the same if he were chasing a hat trick

Oddly enough, it's the same team basically (bar GlenJo) that was hammered by Aston Villa ... Rodgers set this up well, played to our strengths BUT you had that #8 lad leading by example. Even that shot he hit just over - I can't remember the last time he's hit one like that. He wanted this one bad - he wanted to make a statement, he knew a win tonight would instill a belief in the squad that we can win ... the next game. Let's fuck up West Brom and continue on.

Good night lads.

OK Bedtime, 06.30 here, Night All - I'm going to sleep well tonight (today) and in my dreams Studge put that pen away 😀

Skrtel was imperious. Genuine class and a very calming influence at the back. Fewer rash clearances. His passing has improved so much in 18 months and he even popped up on the right wing! Almost the kind of Agger-esque performance that gets people jacking off

Gerrard put in the kind of defensive performance i've not seen from him for years. Brilliant harrying and timing of his blocks. A superb captains performance, and his celebration was boss

Sturridges 2nd goal was the kind of thing I thought only Suarez was capable of before this season. We have 2 genuine world class players up front, how fucking great is that. Remember when we had Cisse and Baros for fucks sake?

Sterling was all over the place in a good way. He just popped up, on their toes when they had the ball. Made a massive fucking nuisance of himself. If he carries on like this, he'll be starting for England

Coutinho played some proper sexy football. His touch is just sublime at times. Definitely tired towards the end but couldn't fault him earlier on. >Garcia

Henderson was always in good space to receive the ball. His movement is improving a lot

We were fucking boss. Told yous

Barkley is going to be a very very good player regard and that is not just based on this game. But fuck him! (Until we sign the fucker).

Before the match we talked about two things; getting the tempo right from the start and not having the hole in midfield due to Coutinho and Sterling being too attack-minded at all times. It would appear Rodgers has a sneaky peak on this forum just before his pre-match talk to the team.

Rodgers implied he was going to give Studge a bit of a bollocking for his reaction going off. He just said he always tells players to keep it for the next day.

Imperious display by Gerrard today. The pair of Henderson and Coutinho deserves a lot of credit for Gerrard's performance as well. The midfield is a team game and without the pair's relentless pressure ahead of him on opponents, Gerrard would've had a tougher time holding things together.

Sets us up nicely for a potentially tricky Feb.

3 away games and Arsenal at home (plus Arsenal away again in the cup).

Need to be on it.

No agenda Mark he's just fucking wank and being fully committeed in a derby doesn't get you a free ride. He was our worst player by a country mile again and the sooner he's sent packing the better it will be for us. No agenda just the truth

And only won the European Cup with them, too. Shite or what? 😉

Lol, you talked about a lot more than two things. If Rodgers and the team took note of SCM before games they wouldn't bother turning up for half of them.

I hate Cissokho but he had a decent game tonight.
Defensively he was terrific but of course we need better.

Nailed it on every point.

"We have 2 genuine world class players up front"

Remember when we wanted just one 20 goal a season forward?

Re: everton, Mirallas is boss but they don't have that many good players in attack. They're a very industrious team but they'll miss Lukaku. They may well finish 7th yet

Oh and Cissokho definitely has improved. And he defo tries hard. Can't help but wanna like him.

Just look at this smiley bastard

Oh, I forgot to say, well done Flannagan, good game from you lad, putting Johnson to shame.

I didnt think there was a bad performance out there.
Cissokho was poor in posession but excellent at the back in the main part.
Toure and Skrtel were amazing
Flanagan was rock solid AGAIN
Henderson most unsung of unsung heros, he worked his balls off tonight and won the ball countless times
Gerrard fucking amazing
Coutinho best he has played since last season by miles
Sterling Love this kid he is turning into a real player
Suarez a bit fruatrating but worked tirelessly and earned his goal
Sturridge brilliant, breathtaking.

Mr Rodgers was an A+
He absolutely owned Martinez tonight.
Great performance on the counter, great win.
Fuck new players. Im loving the ones we have got.

I agree regarding Cissokho but his technique on the ball is really shocking for a top level footballer.

Even the simple passes that came off were all mishit.
