I do love Daniels 'Yeah! WHAT? Say summin!' face

No wonder he scored.
Howard isn't going to save that many shots facing that way around.

My BT Sport signal was buggered throughout the game but....

Solid defensively - Mignolet confident, Flanno slots straight back in seamlessly, CB pairing excellent, Cissokho worked his socks off.
Clever in Midfield - Set up perfectly by Rodgers and executed with power and precision by Gerrard (fantastic), Hendo (non-stop) and Coutinho (mischievous)
Lethal up front - Well, it's Sturridge and Suarez isn't it? World class.

Special mention for our most improved player of the season. Sterling mixing up pace, intelligence, frightening work-rate and all round nuisance making. He's proving an absolute pocket monster in the making.

Rodgers - well done sir!

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard: "Against Aston Villa we let the fans down and let ourselves down, it was our worst performance of the season. But every player was superb today."
On his decision to let Daniel Sturridge take the penalty, which would have seen the striker complete his hat-trick if he had scored, Gerrard added: "I've scored a hat-trick against Everton and know what that feels like and I wanted Daniel to feel it. It was not to be, but it is my responsibility.
"We have two world-class forwards and Daniel was magnificent. He destroyed them in the first half."

Great start of the week.important win yesterday and today Liverpool beat Everton 4-0 in the Merseyside derby!!Amazing result

Good victory.

Slightly pissed off at Sturridge being selfish on a few occassion in the 2nd half - though Brendan rightly took him off. It's a team game, fuck ur personal triumphs.

Ross Barkely is gonna be a top player. His game reminds me alot of Stevie G - power & drive ... and one thing he can do what Stevie can't is shoot with his left foot. Having said that, Stevie's got a better long range passing game ... but either way, Barkely is a top talent.

Not convinced by Cissokho at all. Hopefully we send him back to Valencia at the end of the season.

Don't know why everyone is creaming themselves over Barkley when Mirallas was head and shoulders their best player. As for Barkley joining Liverpool ? Will never happen in a million years.

Cissokho's a coward. He leapt out of the most innocuous tackles in the first half. He also has atrocious technique. But I guess he worked harder than he's done up till now, so that's something.

Fucking top night. I've got no voice left. The ground was bouncing. Every man in a red shirt should be proud tonight apart from that sack of shit at left back. That cunt should never play for us again.

"Thin Spanish waiter, you're just a thin Spanish waiter". Haha

Skittles was a rock.
Flanagan played a very mature game, made up the lad has made me eat my words.
Gerrard was very disciplined and played his best game of the season.
The front four were so fluid, a master class in counter attacking football.

"Tell yer ma yer ma, to wipe away all those tears, no trophy for 19 years, tell yer ma yer ma".

everton had 61% possession which is pretty high for an away team at anfield, especially one that loses 4-0. I don't think i'd like to see us concede that much at home every game but it does allow us room to hit teams on the break rather than have them camped in .

Sturridge's finishes ,bar the pen of course , were super . It looks like the lob was over the line before it bounced , that's how measured it was . 27 goals in 34 games since he joined us is pretty special and i love how he generally spreads his goals , he scores in loads of games rather than a few braces then a drought.

And yes he may have limitations and room for improvement in some areas but if you don't enjoy watching an old school blood and guts full back like flanagan flying around during a derby then there's something wrong with you in my book.

A brilliant result for Rodgers. I quite liked him putting Studge in his place, too, even though I would've been happy enough to see him keep going in the greed groove.

Gerrard isn't usually a good captain for me but when he's really fired up like tonight he's magnificent as a leader. He was absolutely magnificent.

Skrtel was a phenomenon.

Sterling worked his nuts off, Coutinho was better than for a while, Toure always made me relax when he had the ball, Suarez was incredibly industrious and deserved that goal, Flanno was nice and solid.

All in all, a great performance.

Can't really blame him this time.

That Mirallas is a player, there's no doubt about it. But what a cunt...constantly flying in with late tackles and when an opposing player has the audacity to rough him up a bit, he snaps back like a petulant child. Wanker.

Glad to have Flanno back and he has shown he can cover both RB and LB more than adequately. This has been an unexpected pro of this season!

Happy for Mignolet to keep a clean sheet. He didn't have many difficult shots to save but had no nervy moments which will do him the world of good.

Gerrard was imperious and really stepped it up for this game. If he can be this fired up for the other big games we have at home then I will continue to BELIEVE!

This was Coutinho's best game of the season so far. He was great at beating the first man and being the catalyst for many of our counter attacks.

Henderson put in another epic shift, which at the start of the season would have drawn in extra praise but we now expect it from him which is awesome as he often delivers.

Sterling was again a great attacking asset. His finishing will improve but he is another major threat in our attack and complements SAS v well.

In the last few games i thought trying to play stevie deep was suicide, that he was nowhere near enough disciplined to play that role and that it would cost us both going forward and defending, well he was outstanding tonight, both in breaking up evertons play and starting attacks, sometimes at the same time, it might take him a while to be consistent in the role but i have no doubt that it will be worth it, think he can be amazing in that job for a good few years yet

I thought Everton played some nice football at times, clinical finishing and some massive desire from our defenders flying in was the difference.

Funny all the gobby Blueshite fans aren't talking about their favourite topic tonight, Liverpool FC.

Apparently Rodgers said in a post match presser that he's expecting a major signing before the windows out??
