Just a punch, didn't look like he connected properly at all. Lennon didn't fall but the fella that threw it did.

I'm on my phone so can't see. What happened then? Just a punch? Any damage or response?

He just runs up to Lennon from behind (proper 'ard eh?) and goes running in head first, Lennon hits the deck, so does the guy and then the video cuts off.

EDIT, I'm proper blind, just watched it again. What Rosco said.

The nobhead slipped over as he went to lamp Lennon, George. He may have caught him with a dig but doesn't look major

are Hearts a protestant team, is that it? i think i've heard that Hibs are the catholic team in edinburgh, so that'd follow.

whatever it is, it's apalling.

Lennon had intimated that Hearts hadn't tried against Rangers (when they lost at Ibrox on Sat) which caused a lot of ill feeling among the Hearts' management and fans.

With all the nonsense that goes on up there, especially concerning Lennon this season, he really ought to think about NOT stirring shit up further.

That's the thing, he continues to stir things unabated. What has went on with Lennon is reprehensible, but he does continue to wind things up. At the last Old Firm game at Ibrox, after all the parcel bomb shite, at the final whistle he cupped his ear to the Rangers' fans causing, as he would have known it would, uproar among the home support. Now I'm not excusing the hatred for Lennon, but yunno, you'd think he'd try and defuse things a little- rise above it. Unfortunately, he hasn't, perhaps can't. If the atmosphere up there wasn't so poisonous, you could say that Lennon shouldn't have to curb his confrontational nature, but given the circumstances, I wish he would just attempt to play a straight bat for a while.

It's all gone stupid up there and although he hasn't done anything that warrants parcel bombs or assault at a game , Lennon doesn't help himself . I mean he comes across as someone with serious anger management issues. Before all this started I remember seeing him and wondering how the fuck he was allowed the be a manager ...everything he does , even celebrating, is done with such aggression . Although I can imagine some of his own fans love that "passion" . But I'm not surprised at all how the season has panned out for him in terms of disciplinary and controversy issues . But again the parcel bombs and assault is just nuts .

shit like that is said by loads of manager. There would have been bad feeling by Stoke fans after 'Arry was talking about them and City and a number of other managers have suggested similar.

It's seriously nuts up there at the moment.

I would also like to point out to people that even though this kinda shit has been simmering away for a while, I think a massive turning point was Diouf going there.

It's all Diouf fault

The cunt was a Yankee fan too

How about some sympathy for Neil Lennon? Death threats, parcel bombs, attacked by nutters... Hardly ideal working conditions is it?

You've made two posts in this thread since that incident and both of them are aimed at criticising Neil Lennon as your major priority.

Wood. For. The. Trees.

I said it was reprehensible. You're the fucking hypocrite who said that Lennon had made himself a hate figure. Go. Fuck. Yourself. Cockhead.

That's some overreaction Doc, and I hope you're suitably embarrassed by it when you look back.

Sure Lennon's antagonistic, and I made a point of mentioning this as you've alluded to, but you made the overall thrust of your reaction to this Hearts incident as one that Lennon was pretty much to blame for. Which I felt surprising, and worth pointing out.

I don't see the point in slinging insults.

I see the point because I don't like what you're intimating. Look back through this thread and you'll see that I've said Lennon being antagonistic doesn't excuse the hate towards him. As you did earlier, I was providing context for the incident. You're a fucking smartarse twat.

Had anyone on this forum put forward the reactions you did, I'd have pulled them up in exactly the same way.

It's just a coinicdence for you, an unfortunate one I suppose in this context, that you're not of Celtic or catholic persuasion because it makes you look like a bitter cunt. I can assure you I wasn't making those parallels. I can also assure you that I really don't give a flying fuck if you believe me or not.

And again, I don't see the point in flinging insults over this.

Let me take you though this, because in your infallible smartarsery you are incapable of self-analysis. Earlier in the thread, your first reaction was not to sympathise with Lennon over the parcel bombs, but to point out how antagonistic he is, and how he was a fusion of all hateful things from the Rangers' perspective. THAT WAS YOU THAT WAS. No-one pulled you up on that, because it was evident you were providing context. As I was. I hope you're suitably embarrassed.

From your earlier posts it is also clear that you think Lennon should do more to rise above things, but instead of recognising something you actually agree with, you decided to intimate I'm a bigot. Hence my reaction. Which doesn't and will not embarrass me in the slightest.

There's no intimation that you're a bigot. You've reached that through your own means, perhaps you've got a complex I don't fucking know. Maybe you could look beyond this short sightedness and aak yourself if I've ever suggested you're a bigot in the years we've engaged through this forum. I don't need to explain or justify myself on this any further.

Now, read my initial post again. The only intimation in it, and I'll spell it out for you so you're clear, is that you're not focusing on the bigger picture. A man has cone out of the crowd to attack him, why Neil Lennon's behavior was the key focus of your ire TWICE and not the actual issue at hand was and still is bizarre. Hence my post, and my quote that you weren't seeing the woods for the trees.

Clear?
