No mention of him running around with two pencils up his nose and pants on his head in the Daily Mail so it's hard to say.

There was a rumour that they found a text on his phone from Jamie Vardy saying something about 'having a cunning plan' though.

My younger brother took his own life on 28th November last. He didn't cause any motorway or railway line delays. He caused his family an awful lot of grief and self questioning, but I know he did it because, to him, it was the only option left.
So sorry to hear that. Sincere condolences.

Does Lennon have genuine mental health concerns or is he covering for drugs/alcohol/gambling/some other sinister dependency?

Quite often, sports men and women over here, who are all bell ends of the highest order, cry "mental health issues" when they get busted for snorting/boozing/raping/pissing in their own mouths etc. It's a standard go-to to lessen whatever punishment is coming their way.

Which does people with genuine mental health issues no favours whatsoever.
In my experience most of the things you mentioned above are a symptom of the illness.

A distraction or a coping mechanism.

Where do you a draw line? There have been two instances a pilot has committed suicide taking all the passengers down with them...
Draw the line on what?

Every single case of mental illness is unique. There is no silver bullet, no catchphrase that solves all ills.

Part of the problem is that people compare and contrast and lay their own feelings of what they think is what the other is thinking or as to what they'd do themselves.

It's totally futile. Mental illness is very personal to the individual involved.

That's why, support needs to be what the sufferer wants not what the person supporting thinks they need.

Heh, I don't buy that, but the media/apologists reasonings for terrorism are the biggest copout. "Slaughtering all those innocents has nothing to do with terrorism, he's mentally ill". Thats the biggest fucking insult there is to people who are genuinely suffering.

While that is unbelievably tragic - Remember that these people are not in their right mind. As in they are fucking ill. Mentally ill. Good lord! @Brizzle is bang on - This thread really highlights how misunderstood mental health is. @Oncy I'm surprised about. He regularly does lots of good things for charity (I know because I regularly contribute) so he's clearly a goodie... Hmmmm each to their own I guess.
