Apologies to FFF, Dr Mac and Barba.

I dont mean to cause offense.
I am a dull ignorant cunt. And arrogant to the point of narcissistic.

I dont get it, but enough of you seem to think im being a cunt. So I must be. This will be a part of my brain that doesnt work the same as yours. My opinion wont change. But I apologise for causing offence with it.
 
The inconvenience of being delayed by someone throwing themselves onto the tracks is very real and very annoying

But there isn't any selfishness in the act as far as wanting to fuck up everyone's commute home (impact on friends and family to one side), because most of the incidents are very spur of the moment and impulsive -there isn't anything malicious involved along the lines of "I'm suicidal and mentally impaired, and as an added bonus everyone on this train is going to be late home!"

I oftentimes state that when everyone else is saying one thing and you are saying something else its NOT them.

So apologies to you too.
 
The irony is that those who have felt that suicide is their only option likely feel that they are being selfless. That they are causing so much harm or despair to others that their best solution is to stop being there.

This thread has reinforced again how misunderstood mental illnesses are.

I might be with Oncy on this one having been mildly inconvenienced by some poor cunt threatening to throw himself off a motorway bridge - he did it every few weeks but never fucking jumped.

The irony was if the fucker had just walked across the bridge to the other side he'd have been on the grounds of a hospital where he could have received treatment.
 
how can you be depressed on 55k a week? it blows my mind. you could literally hire a circus clown to follow you round keeping you happy 24/7.

No worries dude. I hope your opinion will change though. Or at least try and find some empathy with people with depression or are suicidal. You can still call me a 'weird cunt' if it makes you feel better though 😉

I dont think my opinion will change. I feel for anyone with depression, and quite a few posters on here who I class as friends have suffered or are suffering with the black dog. Id like to think that ive been supportive of them in the past and would continue to do so. Where any of them (or anyone I know) to decide to take their own lives I would be made cold no doubt, but I would still as sure as night followed day think they were a bit of a cunt if they threw themselves infront of a train or sliced their wrists where their family would find them.

As FFF points out there is often times zero rationality once you reached those depths. So fair play to the sufferer for making the snap decision to end it all. Do your thing and all that. I will feel you are a cunt for it though. That isnt going to change.

I left at that time because I had to be somewhere. Imagine being late for a flight and saying "sorry someone tried to top themselves" or late for an interview even.

They are having a shitty time, I get that, but they just made X amount of people's day's shitty too.

I have a slightly higher outrage level for protesters for the same reason. Fucking rich hippy cunts!

Anecdotal evidence means naught in stuff like this, but I know you don't just decide to top yourself. It's a slow progression to where you believe its your only option, and your mere existence is such a massive burden to the people you love.

You don't "choose" to commit suicide. You fight it until it's your only option, and you convince yourself it's like sinking in to a hot bath. Something warm and comforting, something you need.

You don't just dive off the nearest platform. You get your house in order.

Other studies have found people who kill themselves, the week before actually seem happier, because they know it's going to end. It's a surprisingly "rational" time.

Oncy might be coming across as a cunt here, but by fuck I'd rather him be in my life being honest than a lot of mealy mouthed pleasantries.

Everyone has different experiences and everyone manages things differently.

They do - That's the very point though. Everyone is different. Different experiences, life, dopamine levels, addictions etc. These people need help not being called 'cunts' and shunned. Embraced and helped. It worked for me and I also know a fair few buddies on here it helped also. A little empathy goes a long way. I've been open and honest about some of the struggles I have had. Some on here have openly admitted to being suicidal at times. People I would consider friends so forgive a brother for being sensitive about such things - It IS a tricky subject that is open to debate so I'm in no way holding anything against @Oncy - He has his opinion I have mine.

Oncy has not called someone suicidal a cunt, or shunned them.

He called people who have killed themselves, at the expense of a family driving on the motorway, a driver of a train, if not their lives, then most definitely their sanity; cunts

And he's right! They are. They've ruined a complete strangers life.

That doesn't negate his emotions, his feelings or his life.

If I had munchausens by proxy and I poisoned my child to get attention, I'm still a cunt. Just a cunt with a mental issues who needs help.
 
My younger brother took his own life on 28th November last. He didn't cause any motorway or railway line delays. He caused his family an awful lot of grief and self questioning, but I know he did it because, to him, it was the only option left.
