I'm going to be wildly optimistic and say we'll take 5 wins out of this:

Sunday 4th October
Barclays Premier League
16:00 Chelsea vs Liverpool

Saturday 17th October
Barclays Premier League
15:00 Sunderland vs Liverpool

Tuesday 20th October
UEFA Champions League
19:45 Liverpool vs Lyon

Sunday 25th October
Barclays Premier League
14:00 Liverpool vs Man Utd

Tuesday 27th October
Carling Cup
19:45 Arsenal vs Liverpool

This has surely going to have to be our toughest bunch of games this season? The top 3 + Lyon in a couple of weeks.

I'd be ecstatic with four wins - and let Arsenal's kids beat us. It's not impossible, but neither is us losing to Chelsea and United.

I feel nervous just thinking about it.

He's inured. For a change.

a) he'll be injured
b) chances are united wo't be attacking the Kop in the second half

Chances are? It's fifty-fifty, surely. If they win the toss, they'll choose to attack the Kop in the second half.

DWWWD will more than do me. In fact I'd be on Cloud 9 with that. If I had to choose just 2 wins from those 5 I'd pick Chelsea & United.

I don't think we can afford to lose any of those first four :s

We are entering these games with serious concerns about our defence and midfield against competitive opposition so I understand some of the pessimism - although I think most of it is reactionary bollocks from the Fiorentina match.

We did the double over United and Chelsea last season, and we're always strong at Anfield in Europe. The one thing I hope we don't do is achieve a decent result against Chelsea and then throw it away to Sunderland. The physical presence of Jones and the clinical finishing of Bent is proving to be quite the combination at present, which will be testing for our defence.

However we are capable of inflicting enough damage within these matches to win all of them.

Why is it reactionary bollocks when we've looked poor in those areas all season?

Ha!

As said elsewhere, Rage aside, is there a more pointless poster??

We won 6 on the bounce before the European match, I just think people would be more optimistic had that game not happened.

The concerns, however, have been there throughout
