So Ronaldo assists Jese to make it 2-1 but too little too late.
Ancelotti took a gamble with the selection and tactics and it clearly backfired. Real looked unsure of themselves as they often have in these games over the last few years. Barca under Tata lack the intensity they had under Pep (and Vilanova who notched it down a bit too), which for me makes them a lesser team. Messi didn't get involved as much as they probably would've liked and their main outlet was Neymar on the left who is looking good value so far.
It all contributed to a game that lacked the fire of previous years and ultimately it looked as though Barca did just enough to win and nothing more, which isn't great for us to watch. Real should've had a pen, which probably would've made the game more exciting towards the end but glad they didn't.
I still want Barca to take the title but the emergence of A.Madrid as a genuine contender is good for the league as both these teams look a bit tired and perhaps need a newcomer to inject a bit of hunger back into their game.
On an aside, does anyone know why Isco didn't play?
