That’s awful

Nevermind the tweet, but Woodward is popular among the Utd fans eh...

Woodward and his likes made them the club they are, and paved way for crashing transfer records. But it is obviosuly his fail that the Norwegian tosser can't make them play. Let it all continue please!!!

Reading the premier league match day thread in the Arsenal forum, a lot of delusional fans in there.

Ozil'sCloakOfInvisibility
Premier league has lost the one thing it had going for it, competition. Now it's just basically living off on past glory. Boring af.

Arsenal must be the most hated team in England. Every team folding for Liverpool just so they can have our record. Watch Pep give them 5 goals so they can break our 49 games unbeaten run.

Riou
This Liverpool team is really good...but how has it only lost 1 league game in a season and a half, it's not that ****ing good!

Just a bunch of workhorses and speed merchants really, football these days is pretty ****.

Riou
Something is wrong with football now...there is no way a team with their midfield should be picking up this many wins, teams just seem to not try against them...lucky, lucky bastards.

Riou
Us and City will definitely beat them though, probably Everton too...but something is wrong with the game these days, the best players seem like mindless robots, who just run constantly at full pelt all game, for every ****ing game!

So glad I first got into football, when skill was the most important attribute.

Our Double winning midfield of 98 of, Vieira-Petit-Overmars got 78 points.
United's Treble team in 99 of, Keane-Scholes-Beckham got 79 points.
But this Liverpool midfield will probably get 100 something...da ****!

Don't tell me this league is getting stronger

carter777
19 points clear now and beaten every team they've played in the league.

Come on mate,it's a one season .Imagine to watch La Liga, where only Barca and Real dominate or some other leagues when one team wins league 4-5 times in a row.

Riou
Just venting mate, this Liverpool team (while worthy league champions) shouldn't be this far ahead...still the best league in the world no matter what though 😉

HollandGooner
Just hope somebody just beat them they cannot take our record ffs. City will do them.

Arsenal fans should just fuck up, their side is a shambles and they’re clinging on to that invincibles title for grim death.

That Arsenal side was great but would it really go unbeaten these days?

Pep telling city fans off for Munich chants.

Manu fans attacking Woodward's home after threatening to kill him.

Manchester fans proving how delightfully tolerant and loving they are yet again.

Anyone have any idea why they are so upset.
Is it the massive fucking gaps between us 19+36?

People tend to forget how they achieved that record (since all they remember are the bare facts - unbeaten) and without intending to reduce their achievement :

PL : 26 wins, 12 draws and 0 losses (14 wins by one goal) (90 points, 11 ahead of Chelsea) (73 goals scored) (5-5-0 over last 10 games)
Community Shield : lost to United on penalties after 1-1 draw.
FAC : Lost 1-0 to United in the semis.
LC : Lost 1-0 at home and 2-1 away for 3-1 aggregate loss to Middlesbro in SFs.
Champions League : Drew 1-1 at Chelsea before losing 1-2 at home to go out 3-2 on aggregate in the QF.

So, impressive in the PL but didn't exactly sweep all before them and in fact a pretty shitty record in other competitions (and in those days the FAC and LC were still considered major/big trophies).

Let’s not use the cup stats as argument, as I reckon we’ll get knocked out the FA Cup, we lost 5-0 to Villa in the league cup and who knows what’ll happen in Europe. I’ll be ecstatic when we smash their points total for a start!

Yeah I wasn't using it as a direct comparison to this LFC team. It was in isolation to highlight that that Arsenal team weren't amongst the best teams ever (over a single season) if judged over all competitions. You likely have to look at treble or double winning sides (primarily United's and ours) for that.

However if I was doing that (comparing to us this season) I'd point out that we'll have gone out of the FAC and LC with our U23 sides not our strongest teams so it's pretty tough to judge at this point 😉 Of course the CL is an unknown at this juncture.

Easy - between them they had become used to the idea that they were going to win everything in sight, ManUre long since, Citeh more recently, so not doing so any more is a bitter pill for them to swallow. It also sticks in their craw that LFC of all teams is going to take their crowns (whether historical or current) off them.

Shame innit. :vamp:

Terribly, terribly sad. 😀

The Abu Dhabi Blues are the most entitled and mental club and fanbase I've ever seen. Even worse than that bunch of cunts at Chelsea when The Russian Crook and that bellend Kenyon were going to "turn the world blue". And that's saying something.

Their wealth catapulted them from obscurity to being able to win the league with fucking Pellegrini as manager. They pillaged the league for the best players, bloated the squad, flouted FFP and then signed up "The World's Greatest Manager" (tm). Entitlement seeps out of every pore.

At least United always had real battles when they were dominant, especially with Arsenal (and once or twice us!) and Chelsea. They earned it. It was never "a given", that's the difference.

The Arabs seem dumbfounded that limitless funds (and that cunt Guardiola in charge) can't guarantee success in every single competition; witness their faux-disdain for the Champions League, which is not at all linked to the fact they keep getting booted out of it by Liverpool.

True or not, I was reading on the fume that the Utd fans were actually doing the airplane routine with their arms themselves, at the city fans, to bait them into doing it. Very fucking bizarre.

They constantly accuse us of blaming Chelsea fans for heysel. Of course they’re mental.

A guy I know in the UAE(Chelsea fan) was involved with such firms back in the day and he told me there were shitloads of Chelsea fans amongst others in Heysel.

I'm such an entitled boomer that I fully expect all the fume to be collated here into one tidy digest, imagine my fume at having to visit page 2 to dig out my favourite thread only to find the last post was made on Thursday. Sort it out people.

Some bile from the BBC site -

Poor decisions by the referee AND VAR have given LiVARpool the 3 points. When it's your year, doesn't matter how average you play, everything will connive in your favour!
  • Comment number55. Posted bydavey bones

This has now become utterly rediculous, a 100% certain penalty for Southampton is ignored and then a goal for Liverpool. Not only the most tainted title in football but probably the most tainted title in the history of sport.

Yet another dodgy decision involving Liverpool at a crucial stage of the match? Laughable! One of the most controversial seasons ever.

Another referee assisted result, the PL is turning into the WWF
  • Comment number83. Posted bythelantern1212

Obviously LFC fans on here don't like the suggestion they got a helping hand from VAR. Strange though how they seem to languish in games and then suddenly kick into life after the opposition get a controversial decision go against them.
    It's becoming a sinister pattern.

Liverpool will be remembered for winning this title with the help of ‘spineless referees’ and VAR.

Biggest spud supporter from Chicken, Alaska here. What a vile club is Liverpool. Saints were denied a credible victory by all the major decisions that went against them. No wonder reds and their fans are the most hated in the country. Contrast by the blue side of Merseyside, they won fair and square. Respect to the blues. Anceloti is bigger winner than Klop. Fact. End off.

Suppose having the fa ref and var on your side it helps
  • Comment number81. Posted bySaintJack

Saints should of had a pen at 0-0 in the second half, L'pool go on the counter and score. Saints push for an equaliser, and Liverpool counter again. Basically Liverpool just played on the counter the entire second half, after the ref gave em that game changing decision.
  • Comment number121. Posted bypr

Nothing to be proud of. PL are giving it to you. Players must be laughing after every game that officials will not give anything against them. That gives them cockiness. Robertson should have been sent off v spurs. No VAR pen today. No VAR. Seems to be a common occurrence. True winners this season are runners up. It's a joke and not a level playing field.
