When you are being closed down in midfield by the opposition, the long ball is the 100% correct tactic. When you have players with the speed and ball skills of Mané, Salah and Firmino, it can be devastating.

Have you noticed how our forwards are always aware of the offside? It seems to me that we very rarely get caught by the assistant referee's flag.
Gini clearly missed that training session. We need to invite the midfielders too from now on 😉

Our forwards go out of their way not to touch the ball when they're offside, they're so aware of it, something so many other sides forwards seem incapable of realising.

haha amazing

[article]Not only is it tainted mate they’ve not had a single stand out moment of drama or proven when the chips are really down they can overcome the odds. In 2012 we had VKs header at home against Utd even before the Aguero moment. In 2014 we chased down a lead and they bottled it under pressure. They bottled it last year when the pressure was on. Even this year they don’t have any stand out moments bar those given by VAR. no VK vs Leicester. They’ve not had a challenge this year the standard of the top 5 is very poor in terms of consistency. They will win it but what will the highlights or defining moments be? Beating us because VAR allowed it? They still can’t out score us even with the best front three in the world
[/article]

Oh shit. We won’t remember this season because there is no drama. There won’t be a highlight reel because there isn’t any highlights. Boo fucking hoo.

If if all that was true coming back to beat Villa 2-1 in the last 5 would qualify not to mention spanking City.

Also the fact we haven’t had too many late drama moments shows why we are so fucking good this year and 12 wins and 1 draw away from being the best ever

Not too many late drama moments:

5th October : Milner scores 96th minute penalty vs Lecister, to win 2-1
20th October - Lallana scores 86th minute equaliser against Utd to preserve our unbeaten run
2nd November - Robertson scores 87th minute equaliser, and Mane 94th minute winner against Villa
23rd November - Firmino scores 85th minute winner vs Crystal Palace

Add to that a penalties win in the European Super Cup and an extra time win in the World Club Cup

Any team had more late drama moments, this season or last?

EDIT - forgot two:
30th October - Origi scores 94th minute equaliser in a 5-5 League Cup game with Arsenal. We win 5-4 on penalties
19th January - SALAH!!!!!!!

Blues on the moan in last night, blaming manager for the late goals conceded.

It starts

Blaming Ancelotti for two goals scored in injury time? It's hardly the sort of thing that you can blame a manager for, just blame the halfwitted players, useless defence and the execrable Jordan Pickford.

How was it his fault?

Indeed, it has felt like a constant drama this season, but confident drama rather than shit your pants drama, like the other day, even though united threw everything i never thought we would concede a goal to them. If anything its more like taking to much time, and excessive laboured wins when things could have been sorted earlier.

With the gap between us and nearest rivals these games don't pan out like a drama. a win to go 13 points clear towards a draw to be 11 points clear is not a drama as such. I we were even steven and needed every single point (like last spring) these games would be dramatic. Origi's late equalizer against Newcastle is a dramatic one, while Firmino scoring an 85th minute winner this season is not.

But they can only blame themselves. Around xmas Leicester were our nearest rival and lost 3 games, letting City go 1 point ahead of them. City biggest achievement in creating drama is when they can stay within the margin that is already there for 3 or more games in a row. Their best period has probably been the last month and they have lost terrain towards us.

Im sure Ancelotti drawing parallels to the time his AC Milan side blew a three goal lead against us in a European cup final in his post match interview was what lit the touch paper for many of the type that call in to 606 or whatever to moan aout the manager

Anyone who calls into 606, or any radio station at all, has an almost 90% chance of being retarded or mentally ill, or both.

Maguire getting a proper slagging off on the caf. Everyone thinks he's shit.

The 80 million pound slab head to blame yet again . Worst transfer in football history

He caller I heard was on Radio Merseyside, he reckoned Carlo changed the game for the worse with his subs.
He wasn't happy about it

West Ham result is not good for us, they will be extra determined next week when we face them at their place. Was really hoping they would win tonight.

Has football peaked now? Thirty points ahead of manure with two games in hand. The Ev two nil up with one minute of injury time to go and drawing. City fans thinking it's all a massive fix from on high and coming out with the maddest shit I've ever heard from any fanbase. Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all total toss. West Ham might be getting relegated. Surely that's it and it's all downhill from here?
