How good is this lad, is he good enough to compete at the top level.. ?

He held his own against Everton.

The kid aint so much a kid anymore.. 23..

What where his performances like for Stuttgart, could possibly playing alongside an experienced VVD make him a better player ?

As a fourth choice, if we really can't afford anyone else, I guess he'd do. But if he's going to be needed to play regularly for whatever reason, we'd be in trouble.
From what I've heard and read he's not that highly rated at Stuttgart.

He'll be a free agent at the end of next season, so that sort of suggests what his future is likely to be. I think Klopp likes him - likes him as a person, too - but he's at an age when he needs to play rather than sit on the bench most of the season.

I liked him in the pre-season 2 years ago, but he just doesn't have the vibe of a top-level player. Shame, seems like a good lad.
