pinto is a nasty titbox
He's like a Barca bouncer. I do not know what he's doing there apart from getting involved in hassles. Very strange.
He's a sub keeper....what else is he meant to do.....he's just trying to show some morale support 😉

Marcelo's tackle deserved a red but there was no reason for benches to get involved. Barca say that Madrid are ruining spanish football but they're equally responsible once they react. They dont exactly shower themselves in glory when their players tap up other players like mascherano, cesc etc and when players like busquets resort to rolling all over the ground (madrid also have their play actors). Mourinho is just following through on his view that they have to upset Barca both on and off the pitch to get in barcelonas heads and until he has the players to beat barca at their own game (the footballing) then it will probably continue. We'll probably be here again during the classicos later on in the season unless someone clamps down on Mourinho. The same way we all know that until the FA come down hard on whiskey nose ferguson that he'll continue to harass referees and try to influence decisions in big games from the press conferences beforehand. Either way the Madrid/Barca stuff is very entertaining.

If you can look past the sheer amount of absolute cunt on the pitch, theres some phenomenal football and skill on show

Both teams are destroying Spanish football in my opinion.

El Classico is supposed to be the 'biggest game in football' but it's just a load of twats diving and screaming at the ref.
You forgot to mention that they are also displaying some of the greatest football players of our time and play some great football.
thank god, some sanity. 'destroying spanish football' indeed! barca are the best club side i've ever had the joy to watch, and real aren't too too bad either. it irritates me how widespread this 'barca are a team of cunts' thinking seems to be now - at least part of it is surely just sour grapes/contrarianism. imo they're a wonderful club who for the most part are a credit to the sport.

It was a straight red because it was a pointless frustrated challenge that could have injured a player for no reason. Oncy, I really can't see where you are coming from on this.

Mourinho has lost the plot. He is not used to being frustrated this long, and he obviously can't handle it with his normal braggadouchio.

I dont think it was a red. Im not coming from anywhere. It was full blooded but with the intention to win the ball, which i think he did.
I can see im in a minority, but im not trying to wind anyone up, im just telling it like i see it.

And that's cool... it's just a pretty weird view of the incident (in my opinion anyways).

The guy comes in from behind with both feet above the ground and the right leg above knee height. If that's not a red card, I really don't know what is. And judging from the position of both players, I don't see why the right leg needed to be raised so high if the ball was all he was after. I think it was a pretty malicious tackle.
The right leg is certainly the big issue, my thinking was just that he was launching himself in to get round the player. Im not saying it looked pretty or anything, just that i dont think there was intent other than to win the ball.
I think i'll say no more though as im just going to repeat myself ad infinitum.

I was only echoing the words Barca used. I didn't mean it literally. I would never deny that they are the best team I have ever seen.

But the thing that irritates me the most about football is this culture of diving and surrounding the referee and waving yellow cards etc. For me, it ruins football and Barca are one of the worst teams for it imo and for them to say Real are ruining Spanish football just seems rich to me.

Video of the fight here-

Villa is a right tosser, its getting difficult to know which team to hate more - Real with mourinho - classless, or Barca with their "Tippy Tappy" bellends forever tapping up the best players

Barcelona vs Real Madrid fight /Super Cup 2011)
I really am getting sick of this "Tippy Tappy" shite.

I don't think the tackle by itself is worthy of a red. That's to say if it happened in the middle of field in the 45th minute, I wouldn't be screaming red.

However, given the time and circumstance, it's clearly a red card. A frustrated lunge aimed at getting more of the player than the ball. The intent alone is dismissable.

As for "Barca are cunts" being born out of jealousy of their recent success. I don't think so. They've always been that way, it's just people haven't noticed it until now as it's taken Mourinho's cynical Madrid to have brought out the worst in them. Moreover, their actions as a club and as individuals off the pitch (with all their comments about Torres, Fabregas, whoever they look to sign) has only added to their growning dislike.

In truth, there isn't much seperating Barca and Real in the cunts scale. Madrid shade it because of Mourinho, but both sides have as much to dislike about them as there is to admire. I much preferred Riijkaard's version of Barca. A lot of the same nucleus of players, and whilst they didn't play as well as they do now, I never got the feeling they were protected by officials, nor did I get the feeling that they expected to be.

I can't believe so many of you wanted him to manage us.

People advocating that cunt as a leader of our club obviously have no respect for our history and no fucking morals whatsoever. He's an absolutel fucker and I'd prefer to see us plod around 4th and 5th with a modicum of class and the traditions our club's been built upon than win trophies under him.

Yep. He's a nasty, slimey, arrogant cunt of a man.

I considered him just a bit of a narcissist when he managed in England and would have been more than happy to have had him as manager after Rafa left as he was the best out there. However, since moving to Spain he's become a right nasty spiteful twat.

He's always been cunt, in fairness mate. Going back to when he was in charge of Porto where he allowed his players to dive and cheat their way to winning matches, as we saw when Porto beat Celtic in the UEFA Cup final in 2003.
He then took his everyone look at me ways onto the rent boys, Inter and Real. It's funny how the English Press lauded Mourinho as being a "breathe of fresh air", a great character for the game yet the Italian and Spanish Media hate the bloke's guts as much as we do.

Like him or hate him Ryan he generally gets the job done wherever he goes and his actions didn't seem to put off Perez giving him more power at a club that is also built on class, tradition (be it different to ours) and a history with silverware as successful if not better than ours. Saying all that, I would prefer Kenny to be in charge any day of the week but I can see why people would have wanted Jose after Rafa left. In footballing terms silverware is king and he's provided that at all of his clubs.

I can't believe you all take this so seriously, it's great entertainment. You all sound like a bunch of Patrick Barclays, tut-tutting about ungentlemanly behavior, the death of the game and all that shite.

RM's manager stuck his finger in the eye of the assistant manager of Barca, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, I fucking love it.

I think the opposite on that actually. I think he worked out last season just how far apart the two teams were. He didn't have the players he wanted last season but he's pretty close now and the football they've been playing in pre season indicates his frame of mind - confident in the footballing ability there. Once he's got the players to play that football I think his "winning habit" will be too much for Barca.

As for Barca - the point that has come across the strongest too me is that Ronaldo actually looks a fair player when he's compared to the whingeing, moaning and play acting of the Barca players. Remembering what he looked like in the epl that speaks volumes for the "class" of Barca's playing roster.

He lost Me when his antics led to the death threats and resignation of anders frisk?

All because he made up some lie.

I respect his achievements, but not the example he leads.

I actually forgot about his dark side after his treble.

Yeah Juan Kerr for sure

This. I think every single move Mourinho makes is calculated to the nth degree, and Barca's champagne football has a worm in the bottle all right.

I don't think you can calculate the sort of thing you saw there. In my opinion he just gets the red mist when things don't go his way. At some point he's going to do something so outrageous that the authorities will have to act.

I dont buy this 'Jose: the mastermind'

His actions the other night were classless and achieved nothing.

He could bring in any player in the world and he still wouldn't topple barca this season, they're a machine and with Sanchez and fabregas , they've just added to their strength in depth.

His winning habit ? Would that have anything to do with Porto and Chelsea having far superior squads compared to an of their domestic rivals under his tenure? For the first time in his career, he's found that's not the case in la liga and surprise, his success has been limited to one domestic cup.

Im starting to think his success over the past decade has been down to timing and luck as much anything else.

He's bluffed his way round Europes top clubs, I doubt he'll be at Madrid this time next year, however.
He's won top honours in Portugal, England and Italy as well as the European Cup. It's a bit harsh to say he's been lucky. In Spain he's been unlucky to be facing one of the best club sides in history. Still a cunt though.

There's reports that Villa taunted Ozil about Islam, and hence Ozil went after him.
Heard about this as well. Why do players have to bring religion into the game is beyond me? After all Classico games are already such emotionally charged affairs, is there any need to further aggrevate a player by picking on his religious beliefs?
