Plus Poch hasn't won anything ever at any club. The Utd job would be too big for him.
Young managers take time to win trophies. He is a brilliant manager, an attacking manager, and the last person I want to see in charge at United. And I mean that literally (bar Klopp), I can't think of one other manager I'd rate higher than Poch to do the job at United. Give it to Zidane (bookie's favourite) - he will spend an absolute fortune and can he really turn the whol eclub around ? He has no experience of doing that (Poch does, twice).

And so, after a record-breaking residency in a Manchester hotel, the man the English will always think of as 'Hose-ay Mourin-ee-o' finally packs away his giant breakfast plate and heads off to London with the staff clearly saddened to see the great man go.

If attacking football .. flowing and passing is what they want then you just cannot have the likes of Conte, Ziddan, Simone - they play more towards defense than attack.

If they want someone for next season who is a provem winner at big clubs then the Napoli coach is the man.

For newbies attacking types ... dont think they will get Poch, but maybe the Wolves guy. If they can be tempted. Personally from this category they should wait and see how the new Southampton coach turns out.

Then there is always the experienced West Ham coach or the guy from Everton.

Ole and Phealan under guidance of SAF set to be named manager and assistant manager till the end of the season

I actually don't see why Poch would leave Spurs right now. United are a level below, Spurs are moving into a new stadium and he's attracting interest from Madrid and Barca despite winning fuck all. What he has to gain from joining United (other than a higher salary) is a mystery to me.

If he were to go then Spurs should be all over Eddie Howe.

I've been listening to R5Live with a massive grin. Oh please god let it be Bruce! Or Hughes! How fucking funny would that be?!

The list should be something like this

Soljskjaer
Ince
Bruce
Hughes
Carrick
Giggs
The Neville brothers
Keane
Fergie*

*only because I think the current crop of players and the pace of the league and the fact he’s been out of management so long it’d kill him

Poch has improved Spurs, but "turned them around"? No. Fortunately for him, he's inherited a homegrown goalscorer in Kane (don't forget her persevered with Soldado for ages until injured even though Kane was coming off the bench and scoring for weeks) and yet they still tend to win by the odd goal. Spurs are also still, over the course of his tenure, the same choking side when the pressure is on as they've always been.

He's overrated. If he 'had' to win something to justify his longevity, there's nothing to suggest he's the best man to do so.

Mark Hughes , Sam Allardyce, Martin O'Neill Gary Rowett or Steve McLaren is about their Mark.
