There's something tragi-comic about Maureen. Everyone except him seems to have known that it all falls apart after three years, again and again and again. Actually, this time, even he seemed to know - pretty much right from the start. He doesn't seem at all capable of learning from the past and resisting the decline. This time all he had was a list of past achievements, which he parroted like Dorothy trying to get back home to Kansas. Has there ever been a manager of his stature who's become so obdurately nostalgic about himself? Good riddance to him. I don't much care even if this helps the mancs. This guy is toxic, he's stands for everything I hate in people as well as football, and I hope he now heads off towards the obscurity he so richly deserves.
