Peiple wont remember him, they just look at Man United and Ronaldo getting those late winners. Salah is not even a story for this award.

Why did they do him in a mafia suit?
Surely was a non brainer to do it on the red, some sort of weird no team colours policy.

Because people remember the winner, and they will say, because of Salah Liverpool won that game.
Trust me, you'll talk about Salah to you grand kids, 30 years from now. Who gives a shit when he scored, he is going into the record books for so many things.

Yes I will, i was giving my reasons why he may not win the award

Doubt that's one of the criteria. The award will be handed out in Jan. Last season Mo was great but no one was calling him the best player in Europe. This season he's had blistering start, and in current form he is arguably the best player in the world . However, you have to take the aggregate. I thought last season Lewandowski was the best player in the world, 41 goals 7 assists in 29 games. He has 9 goals and 1 Assist 9 games this season.
If I was impartial, I would go for Polish Bob

Suarez is mad, bad and dangerous to know...we had him here and very few had a clue how his mind worked...think even Kenny blew a gasket trying to fathom him out.

Mo is different..Mo is a player motivated by the sheer joy of the game, a kind hearted soul basically. Bag of tricks, can't box him off or legislate for him any way. Man mark, shadow him, makes no difference, now yer see him...now yer don't...Maguire didn't even see him score his second and Mo started 3 yards behind Maguire....Magiure only twigged when the ball was in the net..in real time it was incredible, Mo went past 3 defenders in a flash..really had to see the reply to relise the speed off almost a standing start.

Cert for the ballon D'or. And if he carries on like this for the rest of the season, in terms of genius...it may never be beaten.

Would never choose any player from a team that plays in a league where the only challenger is ... that same team.

When have they looked beyond Spain for the winner? I don't know what the criteria is to judge the winner, but I'm pretty sure it's not who scores the last goal.

They have done prior to this sickening Ronaldo/Messi bollox.

Ben Foster is great, especially on pod and on the you tube skills related video.
Comes across as a not too serious but likeable guy.

Salah and Lewandowski are the the two main contenders as per Ian Rush

Salah a Ballon d'Or Contender

Mohamed Salah seems to be getting better by the week and after his hat-trick at Old Trafford I see him as a strong candidate for this year’s Ballon d'Or
For me, he’s a stand-out candidate because he’s tearing it up in the hardest league in the world. There is no one playing better football than him at this moment in time – he’s playing fantastic stuff so he’s got to be in with a great shout for the Ballon d'Or.
I know Lionel Messi is the bookies’ favourite for the Ballon d’Or, but I personally think it should be between Salah and Robert Lewandowski, who was really unfortunate not to get it last year when FIFA cancelled the award due to Covid.
For me, they are the two top forwards in world football right now, but Salah is doing it in a tougher league and he’s making it look easy, so he gets my vote.
Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the award for the past decade and rightly so, but Salah and Lewandowski are making a real go of it this year and I think we’ll see a new name on the award. My preference would be Salah, of course.
