If I've seen better football from a team than this Barca side then I can't recall it. 'Tippy-tappy bullshit' at its best.
imagine watching that every week, we on the other hand wet ourselves when we see it once against s'land.
No. Nobody cares. Remember we went there and spanked them not so very long ago.

All any Liverpool fan wants is the title. Nobody fucking GIVES A SHIT how we win it.

you just had to go there, didn't you? 😉

As i've already said a few times tonight, fair play, beaten by the best team in the world containing the best player in the world by an absolute mile. Probably the best player and team i've ever seen.

Hardly even annoyed at that defeat, he's just too good. Thought there were more goals in it for us so it's disappointing that we only scored the once but Barca, i think, could have stepped it up another level or two if they had to.

Scary to see such a gulf in class between the two teams.

Messi's stats for this season 43starts 43 goals. Amazing.

😱 😱 😱 😱

1. diaby is headless, he had a glorious chance to pass to walcott a 1-0. seeing as valdes is proper shit you'd bank on walcott to socre. that was your chance come and gone.

2. nasri is like our yossi has got a fucking CLUE when to release the ball, he just runs and runs and gives barca all the time in the world to crowd him out

3. like andy gray said, at 1-0 you just needed to shut our barca for 10 minutes and get the crowd on their back but you were way too open, you really played into barca's hands.

well at least we can take pride we beat barca in their own back yard 🙂

I like games like this because it gives others the opportunity to see what the La Liga watchers have been enjoying for ages. This Barcelona side have been amazing to watch for the last 5 years and play the best football I've seen in my last lifetime. And they haven't even been at their best this season, relying on Messi far too much. He's delivering though.

El Classico on Saturday is going to be a great game. I really hope Real don't win the title.

Fair play.

Gracious as per usual.

Your manager could take a lesson from you mate.

As unlikely as it may be I hope you win the premiership

a bit undeserved me thinks - he was very gracious in the first leg and this is what he said for the second leg:

"We lost against a team that is better than us and has the best player in the world. Congratulations to Barcelona, they were better than us."

Fair enough.
The interview I seen with him, albeit with Irish TV, wasn't particularly gracious.

And to be fair Wenger hasn't exactly got a rep for being gracious.

Simply the best player on the planet and on his way to to being compared to the greats of the game.

43 in 43.

Would love to see him crack 50.

Fair play to you for your honestly.

In fairness youse were missing Gallas, Song, Fabregas, Arshavin and Van Persie. All 5 would have been certs to start.

Not saying Arsenal would have went through with them playing but you just never know.

Messi was the difference and no team in Europe can live with Barca when they get going.

Barca were missing four first teamers as well. Unfortunately for Arsenal, Messi wasn't one of those missing.

In fairness Barca's squad is way stronger than Arsenal's hence they're better equipped to coping with injuries.
Whereas Arsenal aren't.

Barcelona are susceptible on the break and Wenger will have made note of the ass raping Maxwell got from Walcott last week. Barca should cruise through and I hope they do because Arsenal aren't good enough to go all the way, but you never know.
Hmmm. I had a funny, horrible feeling before the first leg that Arsenal might go through, which happily dissipated as they got assfucked in the first half. and Zlatan scored twice. But two lucky goals later, I'm a bit nervous again.

Arsenal's only chance is to play as nasty as they are able to, and exploit Barca's enduring weakness for tippy-tappy bellend football that doesn't actually end with as many goals as it should.

If Arsenal go toe to tippy-tappy toe with Barca, they will lose, but Barca are a team that has plenty of defensive gaps to aim for.

Barca scored over 100 league goals last year.

PWNED

Re: Lionel Messi

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Hat-trick.
A quite simply amazing dash in on goal and a sublime chip over the keeper.

Bye bye Arse.

Ahahahahahahhahahahahahaha!

messi is a fucking immense player. and only 22: Extraordinary finisher and his all round play has been jaw droppingly brilliant. Easily the best player in the world.
Agreed. For a tippy-tappy dwarf bell-end, he really is the best player in the world.

I suspect Brendan has watched Messi and Barca about 3 times in his life. Twice of which have been in the last 7 days.

To be fair Paddy, given the fucking dryhumping he's been giving my leg for weeks in every fucking thread, he was due that.

But you're right, it's tedious, boring, and monotonous. Predominantly on his part though it should be said.

Aye, true enough. It was funny for a while.

So, Walcott...

He can run the 100M in 10.3 seconds apparently.

Good for him. He's fucking ordinary with a football at his feet though. 4 years on from being chosen in Sven's World Cup team, he's gone backwards. A perennial sub for Arsenal, regularly second choice behind Emmanuel Eboue and barely in an England 11 for years. You can't be quick on the bench.

He's ponderous on the ball, hasn't got a position, has a really awkward touch about him, and has less tricks than Debbie Magee.

The thought of him is better than the reality.

should have been feed by diaby, no way would the barca defenders have caught him.
if arsenal could defend for shit they could have sucked barca onto them and played in theo over the top, but oh no, arsenal are 'purists', funny how they were just hoofing it in the end.

going back to walcott he'd excell in a counter attacking team where he would get space behind the opposition defense.

Yep. His finishing is fucking awful too. Yet him and Diaby seemed like Arsenals only hope in that game. Will Capello pick him as a starter?

They were loving him in the studio last week after his goal. They duidnt seem to notice his goal was basically a pass to valdes which valdes decided to jump over. Walcott continued that theme for the rest of the game in fact, and when in space chose to repeatedly pass it to the nearest barca player.

Arsenal's 'sit deep and counter attack' plan would havw roekd against most other sides in the World. It would have worked against Barca too, had Messi not been on the park.

I fail to see what tactics there are to stop that boy. He's that damn good.

Interesting to note Arsenal's constant fouling, late tackles and delaying tactics in the first half too. Really Arsene?

Ryan, all the best forward players in the world have pace.

Making an example of Walcott and 100 other forwards who only have pace won't change the fact that we DO need more of it. (with ability, of course).
