We are winning the league and signing Mbappe. People just need to accept they’re both happening.

Mbappe is casting admiring looks our way again....

Kylian Mbappe: PSG striker says Liverpool a 'machine' as they head to Premier League title

I just want to follow my dream - Mbappe

Paris St-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has described Liverpool as "a machine" as they aim to clinch their first league title since 1990, and has told BBC Sport he is "100%" happy in the French capital as he continues to be linked with Real Madrid.
Liverpool have also been linked with Mbappe - regarded by many as the best young player in the world - despite manager Jurgen Klopp saying the striker is out of his club's price range.
And while the 21-year-old World Cup winner, who joined PSG in 2017 in a transfer worth £165.7m, reaffirmed his commitment to his current club at the launch of his charity, 'Inspired by Kylian Mbappe (IBKM)', he says he watches Liverpool's title charge with admiration.
"What Liverpool do in this moment is amazing," Mbappe said. "They're like a machine, they've found a rhythm and are like 'we play again, we play again'.
"They've lost zero games. When you watch you think everything's easy but that's not easy. The guys are focused, they play games every three days and they win, they win, they win.
"Now the problem is that everybody watches Liverpool, and everybody watches what we can do against them, so now they have to show they are strong again but it's a very good team with a very good manager."
'Real Madrid talk not good for PSG'

Mbappe grabbed the attention of Premier League clubs by scoring twice as Monaco knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League in 2016-17.
That summer he joined PSG, initially on a season-long loan, before being named best young player as he helped France win the 2018 World Cup.
This season he is aiming to help PSG win a third straight French title but has repeatedly been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
"Everyone talks about it - when I was young I talked about it too," said Mbappe. "But now I'm a player and I know it's not the moment.
"We are in January - it's the money time of the season. Imagine I answer your question and say something. Everybody will talk about it and it's not good for PSG.
"Now I'm with PSG and I'm 100% with the club. I want to help the club grow this season, to win a lot of titles, so for me it's not good to talk about [my future].
"I think about the club because the club helped me. I came here at 18. I was a talent but I was not a superstar. Now I'm a superstar, thanks to PSG and the French national team.
"I have to stay calm and stay focused on PSG. After that, at the end of the season, we will see. But now I'm focused on my game."
Mbappe targets rare treble

As well as winning Ligue 1 this year, Mbappe hopes to help PSG win the Champions League for the first time, and win Euro 2020 and the Olympic Games with France.
Asked what was on his wish-list for 2020, he said: "It would be a treble of Champions League, European Championship and Olympic Games. That wouldn't be bad.
"That seems unattainable for the time being but I'm going to make sure I fulfil this dream. It would be a proud moment to be able to win the first European [Cup] for PSG and for our country to keep winning."
Mbappe's charity was set up to help 98 children - a nod to his birth year - between the ages of nine and 16 from various social backgrounds to accomplish "their dreams".

"Everyone talks about it - when I was young I talked about it too," said Mbappe. "But now I'm a player and I know it's not the moment.

.....

He's off in the summer for sure. Probably to Real despite calling us a machine.

We should never make these types of big;(no ridiculous) money signs for one single player, as one injury could see them sitting out a season or longer, and in turn spoil our season...
Plus look how we are doing now. Our biggest buys were Alisson, VVD and Keita and we are CL and World Club winners and are out of sight at the top of the PL.
can't really see how Mbappe really improves us that much especially for the amount he will cost and the wage demands.

Let Real and Barca do battle of his signature

Nothing will ever beat the magnificence of Chris Bascombe, who managed to out-Tomkins Paul Tomkins with this:

Soon enough, the rest of the nation will wake up to Le Tallec’s talents. Let’s not forget who was named Player of the tournament in the World Youth Championships two years ago. In most cases, paying 12m for a teenager would be considered rank stupidity, over-indulgence or, at the very least, a gamble which even Chris Kirkland's dad would shy away from.

When Manchester United do it, it's a stroke of transfer genius.
According to everyone who they make listen, United have just signed the best teenager in the world. By God are we hearing about it.

I'm not doubting Ronaldo's abilities. Clearly he's a talented kid who may be on the threshold of greatness. It just strikes me as rather odd that no-one has given the same attention to Liverpool's equally stunning new teenage recruit.

It seems Gerard Houllier's mistake with Anthony Le Tallec was to buy him early rather than delay until everyone in Europe wanted him. Obviously, Liverpool should have waited until Le Tallec's value was #12m.

Soon enough, the rest of the nation will wake up to Le Tallec's talents. Let's not forget who was named Player of the tournament in the World Youth Championships two years ago. No doubt both Gerard and Sir Alex watched those same youth championships in Argentina a few years back and noticed the same players.

Indeed, Liverpool had already signed Le Tallec by then and were strongly linked with Ronaldo themselves, but can't afford to splash out like United.

Time will tell who's got the better deal, but for value for money I know who I'm backing. It's a bit like Houllier and Ferguson have both dined at the same top class restaurant and had their pick of the best main courses on the menu.

Houllier has managed to get his dish at a quarter of the cost Ferguson has paid, and yet it's his rival who is getting all the praise.

Indeed, I'm getting an eerie sense of deja vu when it comes to theman dubbed TLT who's about to explode onto the Premiership. I remember how slow our London based number one writers were to realise who Steven Gerrard was a few years back.

he's not just talking about us to get 'hits' or excited Liverpool fans starting threads about him.
He's clearly interested in a) Klopp b) Liverpool c) his next career move.
Does that mean he plays for Liverpool next year, or ever?
Don't know.
But it's lovely to have the best young player in the world who's already won the wold cup and a few league titles interested in us.

Aguero literally begged us to sign him, and we didn't. De Bruyne was also a Liverpool fan apparently.

Were we ever close to getting to De Bruyne? Fucking hell though - Chelsea got some brilliant talent from Belgium (Lukaku, De Bruye, Courtois, T Hazard etc)
