Post Match Aston Villa (H) Sat 9th Nov

Also CM are invariably going to be involved a hell of lot more than forwards as that’s the nature of the game. Scoring goals is always the hardest thing to do in football so it will always be given heavier weighting.
Also how can you discredit Salah for not being involved for a large part of the game then claim Kelleher should get more credit when he was involved for 60 seconds and in that time made two good saves but then gifted Digne with an open goal that he failed to convert. He had fuck all to do otherwise.
Even a forward shouldn’t be out of the game for 30-40 minutes.

You’re the one who set the bar at being involved in key moment. Whether they are 60 seconds apart of 86 minutes shouldn’t matter.

Stating the obvious but it's imperative that we keep this distance to City, increase it even.

We have a much tougher schedule in the second half of the season and we already look a bit jaded. I really hope we sign a few players in January.
Next up they have forward pushing Spurs and we have Southampton.

Not sure he was. He had a lot of game involvements. Yet again FF MOTM which is based on involvement.

I was referring to your own argument that not being involved it’s a metric.

Anyway fuck it, we won, we are top and clear.

People always have different takes on MOTM which is perfectly fine. Role on Southampton.

You’re in a circular argument with yourself.

Everyone else looks more jaded.

I actually think we will be more prone to drop points against the teams not in Europe who had a week to rest and prepare than the teams also playing every 3 days.

I dont think we look jaded. I think we look like prime VVD in cruise control

Yeah and then we play City at home, so we have a chance to make an even bigger statement then.

Also Spurs are shit away from home
As long as Mac isn't suspended, I thought he might pick up his yellow today and miss the Southampton game.

I did think that today's game was very hard for us, and a lot was being asked of Konate which I feel will get him injured. Trent was going walk about too much - and I do wonder what he will be like in his upcoming fight with Vinnie Junior. It's wrong to expect Konate to cover so much of the defensive area in these games - I hope this is a one off coz the other games thus far this season have not been so taxing on him.

What is scary is that the way they are now - unless they get some of their defenders back they will not beat Spurs and then there is us, can you honestly see them losing the next 2 PL games ?

Yes. Yes I can. They’ll probably get a point at home.

Let's hope we smash them without him, and they buy Conor Bradley for 40m pounds instead

Without stating the obvious, we look a hell of a lot less jaded than our chief rivals. I agree though that we have a much tougher second half of the season.

I don't get why the hacks on gravy etc didn't see yellow cards? Granted, I thought they deserved the penalty on the shirt tug in pau but I felt villa deserved 3-4 more yellows
